Could never get it to connect to my network
I have a number of home sensors and I know sometimes they only work on 2GHz bands, I could not get this to connect to either band on my network (even my IoT network with limited WPA levels)

Water sensor works, recommended software doesn't.
The sensor worked during my testing. However, the software that you're supposed to use with it (Stitch) is terrible and didn't work. A quick Internet search revealed that the device works with the Smart Life system. I already had that system in place for light switch control and it was easy to configure the water sensor with it. Don't bother downloading the a Stitch software!

Would have given 5 stars but had trouble connecting to my router.Had to change to the 2.4 bandwidth in order to connect. Accretion connected can change back to 5.0 bandwidth

These work great! I set up several around my home and connected them via IFTTT logic to shut off the well-pump if a leak is ever detected. I use the "Smart Life" for these sensors, the well pump switch, and numerous other switches. That said, the instructions are TERRIBLE. The font is tiny to the point of being almost unreadable (I needed to use a magnifying glass), the directions are unclear and incomplete, and the language is bizarre (a very very poor translation). I downgraded my review only because of this.

Confirmed not compatible with Alexa!
I purchased this for the specific reason of using it with Alexa so I could trigger a routine to shut off my water. However, Alexa would not recognize it so I contacted monoprice tech support which confirmed that this device is not compatible with Alexa and let me return them for store credit. Monoprice should take Alexa compatibility off of the description so others do not purchase based on that feature as I did. I still give it 3 stars for the quality/price of the product which did work correctly with the Stitch app.

Not what I was hoping for.
I was hoping that this would replace my non-WiFi water alarms but the alarm is so low that it?s just about useless for being a replacement. so now I keep both. This one gives me a phone apart and the older one for an audible alarm. There is an indication that some of these devices will work with Alexa, therefore eliminating the older sensor since then Alex would let me know but I couldn?t get it to work and Alexa couldn?t find it. So it?s just OK. I will not be buying additional units to replace my other existing units. Plus the battery was already a bar low right out of the box.

Unit not up to hype
I bought it to use in my house that my daughter and son-in-law rent from us. He works with computers at a major state university but was unable to get it to link with either of their phones or either computer in the house. If he can't get it to work, then I would believe there is a shortcoming with the unit or the description is not accurate. The unit itself does make an audible tone when triggered, but it is not loud and can barely be heard upstairs. I have not visited them since it arrived since I live 5 hours away. So I can't say any more about it.
