Monoprice Speaker Wire, Burial Rated, 2-Conductor, 12AWG, 250ft, Gray

Excellent value from Monoprice. Used to connect a set of outdoor speakers over 150' away from the house. Buried in conduit for part of the run. Speakers sound great and I'm confident this wire will last for years to come.

It worked out great for me! Had my outdoor speakers up and running and creating an AWESOME ambience for the patio! Helpful Tip: As long as there isn't a cosmetic or practical conflict, the closer your speakers are to large flat surfaces (the ground, a wall, etc) the more bass you'll get from them. This is important because bass from a given speaker is always worse for it outdoors compared to indoors. The ratio between how much air the woofer can move (for bass) and the volume of air in the "room" becomes a CRAZY challenge.

I used these wires for my home theater system. I purchased a new 100W Onkyo receiver and Klipsch floorstanding and center channel speakers with sub-woofer. The wires are multiple copper thread strand as advertised and fit the 12 gauge size as advertised. They deliver the power to the speakers effectively even over 53 feet . The price was reasonable for pure copper wire (they appear to be so. I did not chemically test them), but not so inexpensive that would put them in the fake or aluminum (CCA) range. The one and only detraction is the main sheath is a good protector and thus a little hard to work with. I would certainly recommend this wire to anyone for this use and will purchase again if I need them!
