great for my granddaughter who is 12yo.

I am not sure what to rate this purchase. My son loves his guitar - he is 13 and has been spending a lot of time learning how to play and finding new songs. It’s been fun to hear. The guitar itself seems to be high quality and to my musical, but by no means expert ears, it sounds really good. It is now April and he got it for Christmas. Last month, the strap broke and the amp started making a buzzing noise. We figured out it was the cord causing the trouble, as when we plugged in my Dad’s cord, it worked just fine. I contacted the company being that there is a one year warranty and they want me to send back everything - the guitar, amp, and all of the accessories, in order to replace the strap and the amp cord. That makes no sense from any standpoint. It’s wasteful and I refuse to send it all back. I’d have to find a box that would fit the guitar and amp + everything else and then wait for the replacements. I don’t like the thought of it all going into a landfill because of a strap and cord issue, when everything else works great. My son would be without a guitar for likely a month or two by the time they receive the return and process a replacement, and the momentum he’s built practicing would all be lost. I just spent $25 to replace the amp cord and am looking for a new strap. So, if you don’t mind dealing with the hassle of replacements or just buying additional items that are supposedly covered by warranty, this really is a good guitar. I am disappointed in the company, Monoprice, though. Not much of a warranty.

Great small starter guitar. Everything you need to get started. A little heavier than I thought. It does need to must be constantly tuned.

I purchased this guitar for my 9 year old son as his first instrument. No background in music, just for fun, he was super excited and started to play right away. I recommend this instrument any parent who wants to introduce music to their child’s life without the high cost.

This electric guitar package is great for a beginner like myself. But I gave this two stars because I did not receive blue picks like the image shows i got a brown, yellow, and white pick besides that this was a great purchase.

Bought this as a donation to a foundation that helps needy student musicians get instruments. Got a luthier friend of my to give it a proper setup, polished the frets, oiled the fretboard and refined a couple of nut slots and this entire guitar/amp package was ready. Even the amp is really good. Will go to someone who couldn't otherwise have the opportunity to have and play guitar; hopefully it will change a life in the most positive way. Thanks Monoprice for guitar packages such as this!

This is my first electric guitar. I am very pleased with it. I hope that I can learn to play it better.

Excellent starter guitar. I was iffy first and was in mood of returning and now I kept it.

Great beginners guitar, the amp however is terrible. I would recommend getting just the guitar and not the entire package.

I would recommend this guitar. I had a Fender in the late 60s and started playing again. I?m having a lot of fun with my new purchase.

The routing was inadequate, the tremolo claw was poorly installed, the neck and fret work we?re very good. Overall, for a kit of this price, it is adequate for a starter rig. I would only recommend this as a beginner kit but you will need access to someone who can do a thorough setup.

I bought three of these at christmas for my nephewsa . Setting them up, was easy, and the neck was extrordinary, with great fretwork, and the frets were even rolled at the ends, a feature not expected in such an affordable guitar. And the sound was really good.

poor overall construction, very sharp fret ends, poor tuners. considered returning it, but decided to just fix the problems myself.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son. He absolutely loves it!! It came with everything it showed and looks phenomenal! The quality is excellent. The ease of shopping and shipping plus the high quality of the product made this a company I would highly recommend!!

For a starter guitar kit for my teenager, this is the best package I found and I am in no way disappointed. Of course it isn?t a Fender or anything like that but for a beginner, this is wonderful to be offered at such a great price. I recommend highly.

It didn't come with the 3 picks that it shows in the picture so if I loose this only pick I have I don't have any, I have a friend that has played guitar for some years now and he said that it was a strat copy and it was a bit cheap.

For the price I don?t think it gets better. My son and I are both learning and these are perfect starter guitars
