Only worked using switch button at first.. After week or two of inactivity nothing works at all. Battery of remote showing 3.2v

Working great so far. Currently in use to switch between a desktop computer and streaming device on a Samsung TV. Automatic switching is a helpful feature and obviates my need to use the included IR blaster and remote. I would have preferred a material other than plastic for the housing but it is not a dealbreaker since I have it tucked away inside a desk. I am definitely going to stick with Monoprice for any and all future HDMI switch needs and fully endorse this product for basic household applications.

The automatic switching is not great. When I turn on my Nintendo Switch, it triggers the TV to turn on, but doesn't actually switch the Blackbird to the correct input.

Works extremely well. Switches automatically version sources with no issue. Needed extra HDMI ports on my projector.

My soundbar only has one HDMI input and output, used this device to attach a Roku and Tivo. It worked great for 2 years, until recently when it is introducing snow/crackles into the video. It is definitely the switch, all items work great with the same cables when the switch is bypassed. I guess I can't complain for the price.

I purchased one of these devices and there was no output. Monoprice was great and promptly replaced it. The replacement has been sitting in the box for close to a year and I finally got around to installing it. It's also defective. HDMI 1 works fine with a Dish Hopper, but a Chromecast with Google TV doesn't work on HDMI 2 or 3. Landfill.

This looks nothing like what i received but I need this to work right away so I made due. One of the 2 items I ordered work so I gave it a star. Disappointing as I?ve always had great experiences with mono price products..

This is the only HDMI switch I've used in the past 4 years that actually works without a problem. It auto detects the most recent input and switches to that so we don't have to manually switch the input. It's great for our conference room which has a permanent computer and additional HDMI ports in the conference table. Staff can just come in and plug the HDMI cord from the table to their laptop and the wall mounted TVs get the signal automatically. When they're done, just unplug the laptop and the switch changes back to the permanent desktop.

I leave this review because Monoprice has pinged me twice now to do so. I was going to wait until I get the replacement unit after I RMA'd the first one. But, since they asked... The unit I got passed one signal just fine. Whenever I connect a second one, to actually use this as the switch it claims to be, both signals fail to come through. No operations I can do will bring either one back, even disconnection of a signal. Only full disconnection and then a power toggle will bring me back to the starting point. Obviously this means that the unit is useless for the one job it has to do. The two signals are from an Xbox One S and a Nintendo Switch. So far, I got an RMA authorization and I Fedexed the unit back 9 days ago, but there is no acknowledgment of this yet from Monoprice. I will promote this 1-star review to 3-stars as soon as I actually receive a replacement unit. I will then see how well it works, and review the replacement unit appropriately.

Remote does not work at all and this does not work with my mac book

This device struggles with the Apple TV 4K. I reached out to monoprice technical support twice via the messaging and they did not respond either time. However, it does work very well with the PS4 and Nintendo switch. To be fair, this is the third device I have tried that struggles with the handshake involved with the Apple TV. Would not recommend for use with Apple TV, would recommend for other uses.

exactly what I needed to connect 2 4k sources to a single 4k input on my TV. And leaves me space for another when I upgrade the DVD player to 4k

This is a compact piece of kit that does what it is intended to do. My kids (8-10 yrs old) find it easy to use (which is good, as I purchased this for them to switch between the various game consoles. Set up was easy, and packaging was minimal.

Not powerful enough for the PS4 Pro, the One X or my PC. i wanted to hook up my Switch, XBox One X, and PS4 Pro but this switch can't handle the display output on either system in 4K. It's going back.

I purchased this with the intention of using it with my PS4 pro and Xbox One X. It does not work at all. I will be returning this and purchasing one elsewhere.

Lets me switch the input to my single-input speaker bar btw DVD and streaming box. It seems to automatically know which input I’m using because I’ve only had to manually switch once or twice. Probably because I only have one device turned on at a time. The one complaint is that the switch, which is made of sheet metal, has a sharp edge remaining that scratched the top of my brand new Blu-ray player as I connected cables. I prevented further scratches by wrapping the bottom of the switch with black duct tape.

Good, needed to set under desk and only run one HDMI up to a tv, instead of three, and Incase for future.
