Our Color Fetish Matte Lipstick (and most standard tube lipsticks) does not come sealed in plastic wrap—you’ll typically just see the product inside the tube with a cap on top. If you're concerned about hygiene or suspect the product might be tampered with, here are a few tips: - Inspect the bottom of the tube. A sticker or tamper-evident ring might show if it's been opened. - Check that the bullet is smooth and untouched—no marks or nicks. -Smell it. A fresh, mild scent typically signals a new product. Much more orange tone to the color Poppy than pinky red as it looks online. It has a nice matte effect to it as indicated but still not the color.

If you are looking for staying power, this is not it. But in a pinch, sure!
Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, the safety seal was not fully intact. The lipstick I received had plastic on the bottom but not on the top. It didn’t look used, but that alone was off-putting. I’m starting to realize that sale items often arrive tampered with or with some apparent defect. It would be nice if consumers were given that information upfront so we could make informed choices—hello, customer loyalty! As for the product itself, I think three stars is quite generous. The color does not match the swatch photos. The formula is matte, pigmented, and the texture is pleasantly smooth, but in my experience it has no staying power whatsoever. I took one sip of my drink and the color transferred immediately onto the mug. Oh well. Based on previous reviews, I knew it was going to be a hit or miss. P.S. 5 stars for "easy to remove" --- too easy to come off.

NOT properly sealed & NOT the color represented
Asked my husband to buy me the one called "Secret" ...it's NOT the color represented online (it's ugly imo). Worse yet, there was no tamper evident seal on the top half; thus I was able to simply open it without undoing any seal at all. It didn't look used but no way am I putting that on my mouth. No more Milani lipstick for me.
