Why the change in sauce flavor?
2 years of getting the Dan Dan noodles and was a huge fan of them... probably had 1 a week for a good stretch there. Last 2 orders though has a different flavor. No peanuts on side anymore and sauce base is definitely different since that swap. Its like the peanuts taste mixed within it as paste or similar. Just disappointing as the previous version was a knock out of spice and flavor! Sorry to see the swap.

Super greasy sauce. Meat just over ground pork in tiny bits. Suggested cook times make it easy to make noodles a starchy glue mess. Sauce never sticks to the noodles. You just end up with a bunch of tiny tingy bits of meat oil after the noodle clumps are done. Not worth the price or the shipping. And your "new" sause bottles leak worse than the first.

guys i bought this because i love dan dan noodles and was so excited to try. Maybe my packet was gone bad idk but it tasted kinda wierd and sour and left a wierd aftertaste in my mouth, i cooked it following all the instructions and everything. and also the noodles tasted wierd idk.

Not your typical frozen noodle
I was hesitant to purchase this because I’ve never had a good experience with frozen noodles before they are typically overcooked and soggy, the noodles are short and broken. But these were pleasantly surprising - the noodles are not pre-cooked, they comes in a dry bundle and so you’re actually cooking it for the first time, not reheating already cooked noodles which ends up being way overcooked. The sauce pouch is reheated in boiling water which I found really convenient and you just mix it together with your boiled noodles. It’s SO tasty, has a good kick but not too spicy, and there’s also a good amount of ground pork in it. Really authentic and would 100% buy again. I also tried their other 2 noodles and also loved them.

I never thought I'd say these words, but they're a bit heavy on the szechuan pepper. The tingling takes over the capsaicin spiciness and overwhelms the other flavors. I also do not understand how one bag is supposed to be 2 servings.
