This AC is wonderful! It cools down my apartment quickly and keeps it comfortable, even on hot days. Setup was super easy and hassle-free, and so far I have zero complaints. It’s been very effective and does exactly what I need. Highly recommend!

I originally got this unit 3 years ago (2022) when we had a massive heat wave and the power went out.. its an Inverter unit so I could run it on my portable Generator and it kept an amazingly large part ofd the house cool. ive loaned it to friends when they needed a unit to get through an A/C repair and also use it in my moile office / camping bus when i sleep overnight without the engine on (just batteries or generator) and it does great.. Now I moved to a new place where I use it for supplemental cooling in my bedroom and it does fantastic.. my only regret is i had thought I was buying the version with heat and it doesnt have it.. the sales place sold me the wrong unit.. I have wished it had heat a couple times when the house furnace broke down. mine is rated at 14,000 BTU.. the same model nuber seems only to be rated at 12,000 now.

So glad we bought this to keep our apartment cool in the Summer months! We had to do some work to get the window kit to fit with our window, and now it seals and hold the hose into place quite well, while sealing out the outside hot air. It really does an amazing job at keeping the place cool on some of those days reaching triple digits, along with all the other hot days that don't reach such high temps. The only bummer is that the first time trying to assemble the window exhaust adapter pieces (3 in total to assemble before connecting to the hose) to the hose with their plastic molded retaining clips, 2 of the 4 clips immediately failed - 1 bent and wound not hold as the plastic gave way, and the other completely snapped clean off! This is one big design flaw when connecting the adapter with the hose to the window installation kit, as you need to attempt to remove the adapter and hose from the window install kit at the end of the season for storage, but it's impossible when those tabs bend or break off, making it impossible to reattach the adapter and hose to the window install kit at the next season. I'll need to see about the warranty coverage on these parts before my 2 year warranty expires in July 2025, as we shouldn't be expected to pay for parts that failed upon first use. Otherwise, this pricey portable A/C with be completely unusable next Spring/Summer!

I bought this last year used off of marketplace. I am extremely impressed when it comes to the cooling and heating efficiency and how much it can move air even in our 600sq ft 22 foot A-frame living room. The variable ac compressor is also a great feature. The hose in ductwork really makes a huge difference

I bought 2 of these units. They work great, but there's one big problem that Midea needs to fix. One unit was leaking water all over the floor; after opening the top port, no water came out, so I opened the middle drain port, but nothing came out. I left a hose connected to the middle port for a week, but the container it was supposed to be draining into was dry, and I was still getting puddles beneath it. I took it apart and found a disconnected hose between the pump and the drain port. After reconnecting, it drains into the container, and no more puddles. My second unit was getting P1 errors, so I plugged a hose into the middle port to drain into a 7-gallon container. Like the other unit, the container was dry, and the P1 error returned after draining from the very bottom drain. I took it apart and found the same hose disconnected as the other unit. This seems like it would be a cheap and easy fix during manufacturing: add some type of hose clamp or even a small cable tie to both ends of this hose. Otherwise, they have been excellent for heating and cooling my apartment in Texas. I love being able to turn them on from my phone when I'm on my way home from work. I also noticed a dramatic decrease in my electric bill after replacing my old Black and Decker portable AC with these. I'll try to add a picture of the clear rubber hose inside that has popped off on both units, so hopefully, the manufacturer can find a cheap and easy fix.

Great features, but does not cool up to 350 sq ft as advertised. I was using in a 270 sq ft room, and the room was only 5 degrees cooler than outside on a 93 degrees day.

The set up is actually quite simple and comes with directions that are very easy to understand. The AC is very powerful and cools the room it is in instantly. The design is appealing and the machine runs very quiet. However, despite these amazing features I was a bit disappointed because the machine itself is not very powerful and therefore does not cool a room very well. The air does not come out cold but is colder than a fan. Due to this reason, I would not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ice Cold!! First, thanks to Midea America for sending me the Midea 8,200 BTU SACC SmartCool Portable Air Conditioner in exchange for a review. My world will never be the same. The master bedroom in our house is always the coldest room in the winter and the hottest room in the summer. Turning down the entire home's AC by several degrees just to have a slightly improved comfort there is inefficient.. enter this great little portable AC unit and problem solved! Installation was quite literally a breeze as the window fit kit has multiple pieces to accommodate a range of window sizes and slides easily into place. Connect a few pieces together, plug the unit in, and be ready to be blown away. From the moment the unit is turned on, an arctic blast of cool greets you and immediately starts lowering the temp of the room it's used in. This AC did not take long to get the master bedroom at a much more suitable temperature for sleeping. It created the perfect 'snuggle under the covers' temp even in the heat of a Texas summer. Great features of the until include a timer to turn the unit off automatically, a sleep setting to get conditions just right at night, and a remote to keep me in bed on the other side of the room but still able to control the settings. The unit doesn't take up much space so it hides away on the side of the bedroom and will be easy to store in winter. While the until does produce a decent amount of sound, I found it to be great white noise to drown out the random sounds of night that can keep me tossing and turning with lack of sleep. My only negative so far is the fact that I can no longer close my blinds all the way since the exhaust hose has to be connected out a window. I will have to figure out new window coverings to adjust for this, but it seems a small price to pay for nighttime comfort and better efficiency in cooling just the room in my house that I need rather than lowering the temp on the entire house. I'd recommend this AC for sure!

Easy to use, safety plug equipped, strong and smooth running, and you can feel the fresh and cool air right after starting to run the machine. However, I found the tube is not flexible enough to install. Too big and too hard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this air conditioner for my master bedroom where the air vent doesn't really blow that much and it cooled quickly and evenly. I have owned other air conditioners but this one by far is the best. It was quiet and and kept the room cool. I will definitely be plugging this into the generator and using this during hurricane season in Florida if we lose the power. I would definitely recommend getting this unit. The only thing is it was heavy for me to get upstairs but that was to be expected otherwise it is convenient to move around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this unit for two weeks now. It was very easy to set up with step by step instructions and I had it up and running in under 30 minutes. When I turned it on, it took about 10-15 seconds for cold air to start blowing and I was pleasantly surprised with how forcefully the air was pushing and how cold it got so quickly. The wireless controller makes it easy to use in a bedroom to adjust settings without having to get up and go to the unit. The unit is very quiet and cools the room down in short order. The fact that the unit is on wheels makes it super easy to move around. If I have one complaint, and it is a minor thing, but the adjustable panels provided to place in the window only lock into place on one side, which makes installing the panels a little delicate, but once in place I have had no problems. Overall this is a great unit and it works better than I expected. I would recommend this unit my friends and family without reservation.

Put electricity bill can be upwards of $700 a month with how much we have to run the AC. This portable AC is not only very easy to install and move from upstairs to downstairs, but it really has helped us cut down on our electricity usage. It cools whichever room we are in down significantly so we don't have to run out air conditioner nearly as often. I would definitely recommend this unit.
