Wont last even with minimal use

I received this item damaged originally, probably due to poor packaging/handling. I had to box it back up and they exchanged it by mail. The new one lasted for 5 months and then the particle board collapsed. It had blankets in it and was occasionally used to put up our feet while sitting on the couch. Minimal use and it didn’t even last six months. Now it’s not eligible to be returned so I have to buy a new ottoman and can’t get my money back. Don’t buy this!
