These are the cutest magnets, and the entire back is magnetized. The average size is probably 3" x 2", but of course there's a giraffe, duck and few others that fall outside the average size. My young kids- 20 mo, 3 years and 5, and my grandson, 8 months all love them. They even like to carry them around and play with them like action figures.

Just what I was looking for

I have an 11 month old and wanted some magnets but didn't want to chance the small pieces that come with the alphabet magnets. These are great! The only issue we have had is the pictures can be rubbed off when saturated ( but that is why it is recommended for a little old child). Not a big deal for us, looking forward to getting the farm set as well! BTW, pleasantly surprised to receive it early.

Good Value

I got these for my grandson's birthday. He loves them...although they spend more time in his mouth right now than sticking them to the fridge. They could be a little thicker so that his little fingers could peel them off more easily. I would purchase them again...they are fun to play with...at any age!!
