Love that this is wooden and comes with ink.

Usually I like Melissa & Doug items. This stamp set came without a lid or cover once the cellophane wrap was removed. Without a cover, the pencils and other items could easily fall out. The stamp pad itself was extremely difficult to open even for my very strong, well muscled husband. Very disappointed in this product.

My son liked these stamps but the lid on the ink of is very flimsy and comes off very easily and my son dropped it on our new fabric couch which left different coloured ink stains on it and they haven't come out no matter what I've tried. Nice stamps but messy and ink not really washable so best for older kids.

This was purchased for a future gift. I am pleased with this selection.

My grand daughter was very happy to receive this for Christmas.

I'm writing this from the perspective of a first grade teacher who is using this to mark homework and classwork. I understand that this brand has another set of stamps that is meant for teachers, but I didn't feel that it was what I needed, so I bought this one instead because I liked the designs better. After I tried it out, I still like the designs, but the stamps are not as big as I thought they'd be; they're still noticeable at the top of a homework page but don't stand out as much as I would like. The stamps are easy to hold and seem durable, but the accompanying stamp pad does not seem to be the same kind of quality. The ink pad has shallow sponges, so I wonder how long the ink will last. After I ink a stamp, I can only do one clear print on a paper before I have to re-ink, and I have to push down the stamp quite firmly and carefully to get the result that I want. As an adult, I have higher expectations than a child would, so I'm giving this item four stars.
