Great Light Fixture for Small Kitchen
It was easy to install and looks like we expected it to look from your pictures. It puts out the amount of light that we needed and expected. It is structurally sound and well made. Looks stylish and sleek.

You are limited to a 4" light box only, no pancake
The mounting bracket falls into the light box and when you try to push the fixture up to snap in it doesn't work. It's a challenge and not worth the effort in my opinion. If a fixture can only mount with one application it needs to be brought to the clients attention....not surprise the Electrician and have to deal with this product.

Maxim Sky Panel LED Ceiling Light
We bought this light to replace an old 2 tube 4 foot fluorescent fixture in out laundry room. Delivery was prompt, and the light was well packaged, both in the manufacturer's box and in the shipping box. Installation is supposed to be easy - you mount a bracket on the ceiling, you connect the wiring, and the light fixture slides on the bracket and locks. The light comes with a steel safety cable that connects the fixture to the bracket while you connect the wiring. The safety cable on this light was not riveted securely to the fixture, so it came off while we were hanging the light. Fortunately, two of us were holding the light, so it didn't drop. I also found part of the broken wiring strain relief in the bag. Sliding the light on its bracket was more difficult than expected, but that may be due to the textured ceiling in the room. Once we got it hung and turned it on, one of the LEDs didn't light, so there is a small dark spot along one edge. I suppose I could return the light, but for just one dead LED, it isn't worth the hassle. :( Other than the one dead LED, the light throws a lot of light, much more than the old fluorescent fixture, and the color temperature and rendering is much nicer than fluorescent.
