The RodiSport Booster Car Seat is designed to easily transform from a traditional booster car seat to a backless booster. That means your not-so-little one can continue to ride protected and comfortably until they’re big enough to sit in the back seat without the extra boost up. The 1-hand headrest adjustment with 7 height positions helps you keep up with growth spurts, and the multiple recline positions offer your little one added comfort whether you’re out running errands or on an epic road trip. Q: How does the back part stay in place on the seat, is there a top tether/latch? I’ve seen many boosters with back seats wobble too much without a top tether. Does this one have that issue?

A: Hello there. Thank you for your question. The new RodiSport booster features armrests, seven-position adjustable headrest, a removable cup holder, AND converts to a backless booster, whereas the RodiFix does not. The RodiFix does have air protect, where the RodiSport does not.

Flawless Booster
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Upon opening the box, my first impression was how plush the seat felt without being too heavy or bulky. It was extremely easy to assemble and my child said it was the most comfortable seat they had ever had! I love that I am able to easily detach the back of the booster to turn it into a backless booster, all while still being secured in the seat by the rigid seat anchors. It was extremely easy to install and does NOT have the top tether which can be a hassle in specific vehicles. It takes up little space in the backseat so there is plenty of room to fit other seats for multiple children. The back of the booster has a one handed height adjustment which made it very easy to find a proper and comfortable fit for my 7 year old. The belt sits at just the right height without any struggle. I love all of the aspects about this seat, but my favorite feature is the rigid bottom anchors. They are so simple and easy to pull out and click into the vehicle supports, it practically installs itself! It seems so much more secure to have the seat anchored at the bottom, unlike traditional boosters which can slide around easily on the car seat. It feels like a much safer and more premium option for a booster. I will reccomend to all of my friends, and would definitely purchase another!

Great Booster Seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am so glad I did! First, the seat is the perfect width. Some boosters I have seen are really narrow, and this one works great for my son, he said he was comfortable. Second, it is super easy to install. We tried both the full and back backless options and both were very easy to put in the car, and the seat itself is not too heavy. Last, the cupholder is a really big deal in our house, so I really appreciate it being included, it is a very thoughtful detail. The fabric also feels nice and looks like it will be easy to clean. Overall I am very happy with the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport!

Truly Cozi
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This car seat was received through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and could not have come at a better time as I was in the market for a new booster for my 5 year old son. One of the most important things I was looking for was a booster that still anchored into the seats as the older ones we had did not and my son was struggling to buckle himself in due to the seat moving around when he got in. It was also of utmost importance for safety reasons. The car seat was easy to move back and forth between a high back booster to no back. Immediately upon taking it out of the box you could see the premium level of fabric and cushioning. It was soft to touch and thick and comfy enough for long road trips. The ability to be able to adjust the height on the back is perfect for when that is in use as well since children come in all shapes and sizes, allowing for you to have a perfect custom fit, especially when considering safety in a car seat. I have had certain car seats where I literally dread, and try to avoid, taking the car seat out and putting it back in because of how annoying or difficult the process is to get the latches loose and unbuckled from the anchors. I put this car seat in my car, attached to the anchors in less than 1 minute and that was with needing 2 tries because 1 side didn’t latch the first time. I can 100% say that I’ve never had an easier experience latching a car seat than what this one provided. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to transition to a booster seat and can already tell it will last the entire time my son will be in need of one.

Comfortable secure and easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat. We’ve been using the Maxi-Cosi RodiSport and honestly I’m pretty happy with it. The rigid LATCH is a big win for me because it doesn’t slide around when my daughter gets in and out, it stays in place and just feels more secure. It’s also comfortable (good padding) and the headrest is easy to adjust as she grows. The belt guides helps a lot too, and I like that it can turn into a backless booster later so I’m not using something just for a short phase. The only thing that annoys me is buckling can be a little tight (depending on the car I guess) sometimes the seatbelt rubs near the buckle area so my daughter needs an extra second to get it in. Also I wish it had better instructions/labels right on the seat. But overall it feels sturdy, comfy, and it’s been a solid booster for us.

Easy to install and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5-year-old is over her car seat, even now that we've converted it to a booster seat. It's clunky enough that she feels squished when she sits in it, and her legs get caught on the end so she usually keeps them folded up. Enter the Maxi-Cosi RodiSport. Firstly, it's easy as pie to put together. The box is small and lightweight, and once you get everything out it's simple to hook the two pieces together and slide it into your backseat. I'm most impressed with the LATCH system connectors it's got -- there's no frustrating straps to mess around with, it's just two extending bars that connect and then can easily be pushed to tighten. Seriously, I have spent too many hours of my life tightening LATCH straps and to have it be as simple as extend and then contract? Game changer. It took me seconds to pop it in the car. My kid immediately liked the feel of the seat better than her previous convertible carseat; it's less bulky so she had more room and didn't feel squished, and it was the perfect length on the seat to allow her legs more room. Once we got her all buckled in I asked if she liked it, and she said YES! with probably a million more exclamation points than I used there. The only reason this review is 4 instead of 5 stars is because we struggled to get the seatbelt buckle into the... holder? (This review has made me realize I genuinely don't know what we call certain parts of cars.) The seatbelt was easy to thread through the seat, and it rested comfortably across her shoulder and on her chest, but oh my gosh it took a while for me to actually get her buckled in. Fortunately she wasn't smooshed while I leaned across her, ha, but it was still an unpleasant situation. I likely need to make some adjustments to the lateral position of the seat, in order to rectify this, or maybe there's something going on with the buckle holder itself in our car, but dang. That part was annoying. THAT BEING SAID. This thing is still worth it. It's super easy to install, it's comfortable, and it's a breeze to move between vehicles. The seat is very comfortable, feels well made, and seems built to last. My kid loves the cup holder, and it’s so easy for them to climb in, buckle, and get settled on their own. They look comfortable and relaxed on both our longer trips and everyday errands. I also appreciate that it transforms from a high-back to a backless booster so we’ll get years of use out of it. The fabric is soft, easy to clean and maintain, and I love the PureCosi/EcoCare materials… it feels like a safer, more eco-friendly choice for my child. Great Seat For My 9 Year Old
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel just in time, because my seven year old was a half inch away from outgrowing his 5 point harness seat. I was impressed with how easy the seat was to put together and install, and he was excited to test it in the car after telling me it was super comfy when he tried it out in the house. I really liked the rigid LATCH connectors; however, since those connectors don’t allow any side-to-side adjustment, along with the large, cushy seat sides, my child was unable to reach the seatbelt buckle at all. We ended up swapping seats with my nine year old (hers was narrower and slightly less cushy and works well for him) and she has no problem buckling herself into the Maxi Cosi. She also agreed that the seat was very comfortable. Overall, I’m happy with the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport. It was easy to assemble and install, and I love the fact that we can eventually use it as a backless booster rather than having to purchase another seat. The headrest adjustment is very simple to use, and the cupholder is a breeze to install and remove/move. I only have two minor complaints about this seat. One is that the rigid LATCH attachment (although seemingly super safe) does not allow for any side to side adjustment - LATCH straps would’ve allowed enough movement for my seven year old to be able use this seat. Secondly, I do wish the cupholder was a solid circle and that the seat came with two rather than just one - my kid needs a place to stash her lip balm.

Nothing to write home about on this decent seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Maxi-Cosi RodiSport Booster Seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It can be used with the back or as a backless seat, but the height and weight requirements are actually the same for both configurations, so it’s nice for meeting different comfort and safety preferences but doesn’t change the longevity of the product. The back was easy to attach - I think - even for someone like me who gets hives at the thought of putting things together. I say I "think" it was easy because I tried a few times and never heard the click you’re supposed to hear when you’ve attached the back correctly. The headrest is (for real) easy to adjust up and down. It uses the Latch system to attach to the car, which I find super helpful for installation and to make sure the booster doesn’t slide around. The seat feels surprisingly cushy and seems roomy. The seat doesn’t really have any bells or whistles. It comes with a cup holder, which you slide onto the seat and can slide off again to wash it (it’s top-rack dishwasher safe, which is nice.) On the whole it’s pretty light to carry. Despite the fact that this seems like a totally fine booster, it wouldn’t be my first choice, namely because there's nothing on the seat to indicate if you installed it correctly. I also found some information online that showed it didn’t perform as well in crash tests as competitors. It does meet federal guidelines so maybe I’m being too picky but for me the safety is the most important thing.

Love the flexibility and comfortability

We have 2 kids age 4 and 8, so I love that this seat can have the back for my youngest and remove the back for my oldest. That flexibility will allow the seat to grow with our family. My kiddos also say it's super comfortable, and the different options for reclining is awesome. And lastly, it fits in the car super well, and I love that we'll be able to remove the cushions for cleaning.

Safe and Secure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport that I received from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is not just a beautiful car seat, but comfortable and safe. The overall look is sleek and slim, while also being comfortable for my child. I love how easy it is to switch from a traditional booster to a backless booster. The installation process was my favorite part. I love how easy the latch connectors are, while giving me peace of mind that I have installed it properly. It is super easy to adjust the seat to fit my child perfectly. My daughter’s favorite part of the seat is how “comfy” it is and that she has her own cup holder. While I am pleased she is comfortable, my favorite part is just how easy the installation process is. I am a huge fan of the design of the latch connectors! It makes me feel so much more confident that the seat is not only safe, but secure in my vehicle. Overall, I absolutely love this booster seat and have already recommended it to friends and family!

Sturdy and simple booster seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been impressed with the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport in the couple of weeks we have been using it. Right out of the box the seat felt incredibly sturdy compared to the numerous high back boosters we have both owned and used over the years. The build is a bit narrower, but our 86% percentile 5 year old fits in it very well and has lots of room to grow. Sizing the seat between my 5 or 7 year older rider is a simple squeeze at the top of the headrest. The fabric feels durable and the all black color looks great in person - though I did notice it picking up fuzz from the get-go. The fabric easily snaps off the seat for cleaning which is a huge win. There is one cup holder that snaps into the seat and can be washed in the dishwasher or removed if you need the narrower install. The process to assemble was easy in itself and nicely explained in the instructions. Converting the seat from high back to the backless booster mode is equally simple. I also appreciate that the seat has Latch connectors to keep it secured when there are no riders. These connectors are on solid rods that slide in and out of the base with the press of a button. The process is simple, though it was a bit more difficult to install than the seat-belt style Latch connectors. My final note is the seatbelt pathway is a little tighter both at the shoulder and at the hips. While this helps keep the belt secured while riding with young children who want to play with it, it does take a little longer to learn how to buckle themselves in. Overall I think this a great seat with premium fabric and build with some great extras for convenience. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat.

New favorite booster
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. What good timing because my eldest is seven, very short, and still needs a booster. Her backless booster situation drives me crazy. Her two other boosters (full back and backless) do not connect into a vehicle's LATCH system so she's constantly moving all over the backseat because she is very wiggly. The Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport is solid and doesn't move since it can attach to the seat. Such a relief for safety reasons should something ever happen. Other perks: it is easy to assemble and adjust (from back to backless). My seven year old finds the material and fit super comfy so hasn't argued about changing it to a backless since it's adjustable and doesn't cramp her shoulders. It's not the slimiest of options out there but the removable cup holder makes it better for those who need to fit it in a row with other car seats. Overall, a solid booster and is our preferred one for safety and comfort. Easy to install and move between vehicles too. Highly recommend it!

Such a good seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had a great experience with the Maxi-Cosi Rodi Sport booster seat. My 7-year-old is on the smaller side for his age, and he absolutely loves this seat. It fits him comfortably and securely, and I really appreciate how supportive it feels while still giving him the independence he wants. The padding is comfortable, the armrests are well-placed, and he’s always excited to hop in and buckle himself up. Installation was incredibly simple and straightforward, which I really appreciated. I also love that it easily converts from a high-back booster to a backless booster as your child grows, making it a long-term option rather than something you’ll need to replace quickly. Knowing this seat will grow with him until he fully outgrows a booster gives me peace of mind and makes it a great value. Simple and Effective
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport booster seat received a great review by my 7-year-old and was simple yet effective for this mama. My son found it just as comfortable (if not more comfortable) than the other well-known name brand high-back boosters in our possession. He found it roomy for the upper body as well as soft and padded effectively to provide comfort in multiple ways. From a parental standpoint, the booster seat looks sleek in our vehicle and was simple enough to assemble and install. There are two main pieces (plus a cup holder) that come in the box that you simply snap together to use as a high-back booster. If you prefer the backless booster, you simply don’t need to snap on the back. The height of the booster back is very easy to adjust for your child’s height. The only drawback (and it’s certainly not a deal breaker) I found with this seat were the latch bars (see photo) to secure the booster to the vehicle seat. Every other car seat and booster seat I’ve ever used has latch straps that are flexible and allow for easier installation. This booster seat has metal bars instead of straps, so it was a bit more difficult to clip them to the vehicle’s latch attachments on the seat. It wasn’t a challenge, per se, but it wasn’t as easy as the straps I’m used to. Other than that, I’m very pleased with this booster and happy that it’s lightweight and will be very simple to transition to a backless booster as my child grows. Sleek adaptable booster
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this booster seat was easy to put together. The back slips into the bottom easily and feels sturdy. It is lightweight and easy to install in the rear seat of our smaller car. The design feels sleek and modern, more like an extension of our existing seats rather than a car seat. You can adjust the headrest with one hand to get the right fit for the strap. I love we don’t have to buy any other seats after this. Once we convert it to a stand alone booster that is it. A great highback convertible booster
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport is a sleek and comfortable highbacked booster that easily converts into a backless booster in a single step. This booster is only for kids who are old enough to know not to wiggle around too much, as it is seatbelt-only (the seat does not have a 5-point harness). Perhaps its greatest asset is how easy it is to install and move between cars. The booster is lightweight and the LATCH system is comprised of two bars, instead of the more usual strap and latch system of other seats. To install the seat, you simply extend the bars as far as they'll go, connect the LATCH connectors to your car, and push the seat tight into position. The bars automatically retract and hold the seat in place. It definitely beats trying to make sure you've pulled some straps tightly enough! Even my husband commented on the ease of installation - it's truly a great travel seat or a seat for families who may be changing cars often. In highback mode, it's simple to adjust the height of the belt positioner with the headrest adjustment lever. A seatbelt positioning strap is included for backless booster mode, and it is simple to install into the seat. My child has also commented that he thinks the seat is very comfortable, and I like that the cupholder is removable for easy cleaning or to switch it from one side of the seat to the other. Overall, this is an amazing booster with few, if any, drawbacks! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this seat for me to test and review.

Big kid approved
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this installed in a mid sized suv and I love the install! The latch arms are super easy to use and make it super snug and secure. The seat cushion is nice and thick, both my tall 5 year old and 8 year old said it was comfortable. My 8 year old is tall and husky so most boosters aren't very comfortable for her but she really likes this one. We max out height limits before moving to the next car seat type so I'm really glad we finally found one that fits comfortably for her so we can keep her in a booster until she's tall enough for the seat belt on her own. It's nice quality but not ridiculously heavy, Maxi Cosi hit the sweet spot between lightweight and high quality materials with this seat. Switching this booster between cars has been easy and switching it from high back to backless is seamless. It is on the wide side so it's a tight fit with another high back booster and a backless booster in the middle. We were graciously sent this seat by Stellar Product Testing Panel and we haven't had it very long but we've had quite a few car seats and so far myself and my little testers are big fans! I highly recommend this seat if you're looking for a comfortable high back booster for a big kid!

Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have enjoyed the Maxi Cosi Rodi Sport booster seat that I received from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I really like that it has latch so we don’t have to buckle the seat in while it’s not in use. I was able to get a good fit for my son and he seems comfortable in it. It also provided good support while he slept in the car. We have only used it in the high back mode because my son is just learning to ride in a booster seat. The seat was easy to install. We did have some trouble unlatching it when the seatbelt accidentally got locked and was in the seatbelt guide. We have three kids, and were able to fit them all in the middle row in our Expedition. My son did need some help buckling the seatbelt because it does sit him up high, but he was able to unbuckle by himself. He can only sit in our middle row of our Expedition because the headrest cannot be removed in the third row and they cause the seat to not sit flush against the seat.
