Tongue scraping is a great and easy Ayurvedic practice that can be easily integrated into every day before brushing your teeth. I used to have a plastic tongue scraper, but I love the metal one so much better. It’s sturdier and lasts longer than the plastic ones that are commonly available.

I was looking for another tongue scraper for travel since I already had one at home. I decided on these because 1) they were stainless steel, 2) there were two, and 3) the design looked ergonomic. They come in a small box and each of the scrapers are wrapped individually with plastic that is sticky tape you can pull open on one end. When using this, I wasn't immediately sure which side was the right side to use on my tongue, so it's not an intuitive design out of the box. But you can feel which side is the scraper because one side won't really scrape while the other does. While you can hold it with one hand to use, I found it hard to use on my tongue compared to the tongue scrapers that require both hands and are a "U" shape. It was hard to get the sides and go back in for another scrape because it would sometimes hit my roof of my mouth when going for another scrape, or I just couldn't maneuver the scraper onto the side of my tongue. My tongue didn't really feel clean after using this one but my other U-shaped one leaves me feeling clean. I appreciate that the full thing is stainless steel so I can worry slightly less about germs but you can wash it easily. I wouldn't recommend this and would instead recommend the U-shaped, two handed tonguescrapers.
