Q: How soft is this rug? I know Jute isn't soft. I'm looking for a soft rug and wondering where this rug falls in terms of softness given that it also has wool in it.
A: I'd say it's a soft but flat rug. The jute is softer than sisal (not as scratchy) but not soft like cotton. The wool surely adds softness. But on a 1 (least soft) to 10 (most soft) scale adjusted for area rug materials I'd say this is a 5.

Q: Can this be vacuumed?
A: Yes. Vacuum monthly or as needed with suction only--a beater brush is not recommended as it may cause the yarns to fray.
