Optical sensor did not work well
The mouse did not work on all surfaces, and was jumpy on the surfaces that it did register.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I like the weight of this mouse. It's very responsive. The wheel is a little sensitive but other than that, it's great. I highly recommend buying one.

All good except the scroll wheel
Tons of functionality but the scroll wheel doesn't respond immediately. Additionally, when its set to spin freely, the wheel moves back to center on its own which means that its still scrolling after you stop...

Super Fantastic Ergonomic Mouse
I’ve been using the M720 Triathlon for a while now, and overall it’s a fantastic productivity mouse at a very fair price point. The ergonomics are comfortable with a nice thumb rest, and it feels natural for long work sessions. One of the standout features is the ability to pair with up to three devices and switch between them with a single button—it’s seamless and makes multitasking across my laptop, desktop, and tablet so much easier. The scroll wheel is excellent with both precise notched scrolling and a smooth free-spin mode, which is great for quickly moving through long documents. Battery life is outstanding—it runs on a single AA and can last close to two years. Setup with Logitech’s software is simple, and there are plenty of customization options for the extra buttons. That said, it isn’t perfect. It’s not a gaming mouse—the polling rate and DPI range just aren’t designed for that. Some users also report that the rubber coating can wear down over time and that the switches may eventually develop double-click issues after heavy use. Personally, I haven’t run into those problems yet, but it’s something to keep in mind for the long term.

Quality control is lacking, but if you get a good one...
The first one I bought had a lopsided scrollwheel that caused it to always return to the same place, but the second one I got I've been happy with. Fairly light, the multi device feature is really nice, and there's no noticeable latency on Bluetooth as far as I can tell, though I'm only a casual gamer. I ended up disabling the thumb button, because it's too easy to press, especially while playing a game. Also super aggravated that there's no software for customizing the buttons on Linux. I primarily use Linux, and I've had very poor compatibility with even third party software.

Great Mouse
I'm on my second m720. It works great. I love how easy it is to connect to multiple machines and I use that feature often. The battery is long lasting, I can only remember replacing them once. I've traveled with the mouse quite a bit and it holds up to being tossed around in luggage. My only complaint was that after 4 years or so of frequent use the buttons started to flake out for me on my first one. If you clicked and dragged, the drag would often drop midway through. Google searches made me think this is a common issue. Given that this is a pretty affordable mouse, a 4 year useful life doesn't seem too shabby, and I liked it enough to buy a second one.

Great general purpose mouse
I have four of these mice, in my bag, in the offices, at home, and an extra roaming one - I just can’t operate with anything else!

Excellent product, but limited life span
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works very well, supports a mix of dongle and BT, up to 3 devices. The main button will fail after about 2 years, after which you need to buy a replacement. We are currently on our forth or fifth I think.

Great little mouse.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The M720 Triathlon does everything a mouse should -- in either hand. It fits easily in a backpack for portability; the scroll wheel easily switches between line-by-line and high-speed scrolling with the click of a single button. Power users will find that Logitech embedded lots of customizable features beneath the surface. It pairs nicely with Logitech's wireless keyboards, tool. This is the second one I've purchased; the first gave several years of service in constant daily use, and was so trouble-free that replacing it with another just like it was a no-brainer.

Too many cheap details
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mouse looks nice but includes too many substandard details. Take the scroll wheel. An attractive feature of the mouse is that it includes the option to switch between step-at-a-time scrolling and smooth, continuous, potentially high speed scrolling. However, when the wheel is unlocked, it it wobbles and rattles cheaply in its seat, although the scrolling operates ably. When the wheel is locked, meanwhile, the rattling during non-scrolling operations is mercifully silenced, but the use of the scroll wheel becomes extraordinarily noisy. The user is placed into a position that is unacceptable for this level of device and unbecoming of a manufacturer that demonstrably can do better at the same or even lower price points. Rather than continuing to write, I can allow the reader to generate their own other examples as it is the unfortunate case that in every place where Logitech could corner their user into such a conundrum of design, they have done just that.
