A: Yes, be sure and start on low heat and slowly work up temperature for even heating. Do not start on high heat, which will cause it to crack.

A: The Bakers Skillet is designed to be used in the oven for things such as sticky buns, bread pudding, and cakes.

Q: Why is it that your brand expert said this pan can not be used on the stove top when it clearly has a picture of frying eggs on the lodge pan label and says you can use on cooktop and grill and oven ?.
A: This pan is in the Bakeware line, which is designed for oven use. It can be used on the stove top, but with it being designed for oven use only if something was to happen to the pan it would not be covered under warranty. If you do use, be sure and start out on low heat slowly working up your temperature cooking around medium heat.
