Heavy duty plastic, the extra hook on the bottom prevents our goats from accidentally knocking their feed out when they run to eat. Brought it for our pen at the county fair and had multiple people ask what brand it was. A great addition to the farm! Our goats are happy with the upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to get this product to try out since I just built a new chicken coop and pen. First I love the red color and that it does not look like it will fade with sun exposure. The Feed Trough Bucket Fence Feeder is made of a high impact polyethylene plastic and feels very durable which is important when it comes to animals. It comes with two heavy duty carabiner clips which make it extremely easy to hang from your fence. Originally I had planned to hang the trough from my chicken coop pen for their oyster shell. However my pen is made of 1/4 inch hard cloth and it was difficult to use the clips. I decided to change direction for now and mount it to a 2 x4 inch fence by using the clips to attach to the wire and use for my dogs. What I like about this product is that it is very versatile and it can be used for a variety of animals ( dogs, chickens, goats) or even to hold tools, medicine and other supplies. I am still working on my pen and I am thinking of mounting it inside my pen for the chickens oyster shell by screwing it to a board. The mounting holes will make that easy to do. Either way you have options of how to mount and many options of how to use. Meanwhile my dogs like having a water station by my chicken coop. 😊
