Lifetime Adjustable Portable 50" Basketball Hoop

Great hoop

Easy to assemble and very sturdy.

I was not in a rush to set up the hoop, but it went rather smoothly contrary to some reviews. The combination of the paper instructions, the youtube video and the app made it rather clear. There were even a couple steps where I was not sure where a piece was supposed to go, but when you refer to an alternate instruction the specific location was made clear. So far it is working well.

I am very pleased with this glass backboard basketball goal. Assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow. I assembled the unit without help and it was manageable. Product is very solid and sturdy for a portable unit and the glass backboard rebound response is excellent. I spoke with customer service on three occasions during the ordering and shipping process and they provided me with one of the best purchasing experiences I've ever had. I highly recommend purchasing from Lifetime.

Worth the money. Nice bounce off the glass and not a lot of movement from shots. Took a while to assemble but the directions were very clear and the online video helped. Easy to raise and lower.

There is a reason this goal is named the Mammoth! It is solid and well built. As close to a gym-quality goal as you will get being portable. Trust me though, once it is in place you won’t want to move it. Quit reading all the bad reviews of the “competition” and just buy this one. Save your time and spend the extra $$. Worth every penny. Also, this had THE BEST instructions I’ve ever seen on any product. Thank you Lifetime for the time and effort spent on excellent instructions. The YouTube video and BILT app were game changers on assembly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an important piece of hardware on the lift mechanism of the assembly that wouldn't screw in correctly and I couldn't screw it in our out before it stripped the bolt and I had to saw it off to get it off. The customer service rep was very organized in the way she asked for which parts and quantities that I needed replaced. She was very courteous and didn't try to pry whether or not it was my fault or a defect in the part, but was able to surmise that it likely was a defect in the hardware and created an order for the parts free of charge. She was also good about letting me pick it up from the warehouse will-call since I lived close and they had the parts available the next day. The new hardware worked great and I was able to finish the assembly without too much difficulty. Although some portions of the assembly were challenging to put together, the instructions were clear in most sections. However, I highly recommend using the BILT app for the clearest illustration on assembling, especially on some of the parts which weren't completely clear from the first reading of the paper instructions. It will help avoid accidentally missing some steps that otherwise might be easy to mix-up and cause you to have to disassemble and reassemble a few parts (as I had to do). I love my new hoop, it works great! It definitely seems to be a quality product made from quality components and you can tell that sound engineering was used in it's design.

Bought a model before Christmas, but was not able to build it until recently. Most of the way through, realized two pieces were missing from the lifter arm. They offered to send the replacements right away! Very happy. Thank you :)

Our company bought this and had it installed, we lost a piece and I called and talked to Caiti, she was very helpful and sent the part out that day. Very happy with the customer service we got, you don't always find that with today's companies. Thank you Caiti.

I accidentally put the poles together wrong that you cannot take apart. I called to order new ones and they sent them free of charge in a few days!!!

I have had the hoop for 5 months. I play everyday. Has very good feel off the board. It does wobble a little bit but never bothers me or others when shooting. The height lever is easy enough for my wife to move. My oldest is 7 she can’t quite move it but I’m guessing in 6 months will be able to. Get the gel stuff for the base absolutely worth it. Great hoop

We got this for our kids because they are falling in love with basketball but are still young so we wanted one that was adjustable in size and moveable (since we will be moving in a few months) and something that would last while they grow up. We've bought tons of stuff from Lifetime and haven't been disappointed. Set up took a bit longer than we thought, but I believe that happens with just about anything that you put together. But given the features of it, we were fine with it. We filled it with sand and that helps it stay put. We aren't doing any major dunk contests... yet, but having the ability to anchor it down makes me more comfortable for older kids and adults getting more aggressive when playing and dunking. Speaking of dunking, rebounding off the rim and the backboard felt great and not shaky or flimsy. I think the thing I like best is how easy it is to adjust the height. When I was a kid, we had to use a broomstick to get the hoop higher or lower. This, well, I feel spoiled by it. We're not professional basketball players by any means, this is a great hoop for your front yard or cul-de-sac and keep up with the basketball players who are way better than I am.
