Christmas present for my daughter, she loved it! *Just after ordering I noticed this on the counter of a new friend. . . . she said she has it for years and loves it!

I love this!!! This is very attractive in person. Looks adorable on my kitchen island. It's very well made and not flimsy at all. I wanted a product that would help me be more consistent in my composting. I found on days when the weather was particularly foul, I was less likely to trek out to the compost pile. So, I started using any old container in the kitchen but in just two or three days, it smelled bad. This is perfect. The carbon filter in the top solves the issue. As I've gotten started using it, I detect no odor whatsoever.

I have been using a large stainless steel milk pail (from Lehman's years ago) as a "slops bucket". It would begin to give off a foul odor in a few days. It also took up a lot of room. I ordered the composter out much hope for it except it had a lid and took up a lot less room. To my delight, it really works! I only have to empty it when it gets full and with the lid in place. . . no odor! Also. . . no flies.
