Cast iron skillet I can pick up
I was looking for a real cast iron skillet that cooks like traditional cast iron pan , but was light enough so I could pick it up (even though I have arthritis in my hands and am 80 years old ). It checks all the boxes!

Nitrogen hardening cast-iron skillet
Excellent made product. I’ve used it once so far. I love the fact that nothing sticks to the bottom and everything cooked evenly. Thank you.

Skillet won't cure and everything sticks to it
Terrible skillets. Wont take a cure and everything sticks. Yes they are lighter than regular cast iron.

Husband's favorite pan
Couldn't get him used to my heavy cast iron, so purchased this and snuck it on to the stove - he's loving it. It's developing a nice cooking patina, is easy to clean (get a chain mail scrubber), and is lightweight. It hasn't left the stovetop since it arrived!

I'm now a Believer
Good morning everyone! I had never heard of this type of cast iron so I was skeptical. Then I considered the communities Lehman's has served for so many years successfully. While I'm English what I do not about these communities is they seldom if ever waste their money. And that was the deciding factor. When I first used it, yes there was some sticking but first time eggs and bacon are like that with new cast iron. Cast iron gets better with love. I did a seasoning using lard and the oven. POOF now we got non stick happening. Not sure how others here ret up their pan but after washing using very hot water and brush, I put the pan on the stove med heat for about 10 minutes to remove water from the pores. Then I coat my pan with a grease (lard or bacon) and just put it back on the stove to cool. Done After a few more uses I now appreciate the excellent value of this pan. It's mostly two of us these days so the 11" size is just right for most meals. I do have other larger skillets but this has become my favorite everyday At this price point it is a great value for new

Good alternative to regular cast iron pan
I've used the skillet a few times but the jury is still out on if can take the place of a regular cast iron pan. It cooks food well but the surface seems easy to scratch. Some of the 'blackening' or seasoning rubbed off but should build back with use. I like the size, at 11 inches it's between the 10.25 inch and 12 inch standard skillets. I like the thin side walls but we'll see if it warps with use. The handle is hollow and is easy to hold.

A great skillet
Even heating, lighter weight, thick bottom to avoid scorches, it's become my go-to skillet. The lid is a must as well.

Read your description and I
Read your description and I was skeptical :face_with_one_eyebrow_raised:. My skepticism turn into:blush:. I have three skillets and a griddle ( all very well seasoned). This large skillet I washed, put a little oil in it once it was warm. Wiped it out added a few drops of grape seed oil and Pat of butter. Got it very warm and fried 3 smash burgers! They released flawlessly from both sides. It has become my favorite skillet. Everything from bacon, eggs ( regular &scrambled). Omelettes. Mushrooms, peppers and onions. The only clean up is wipe it out sometimes lightly scour with chain mail rinse and wipe out

Top of the line skillet at great price.
Purchased a My Wife's Favorite Skillet for ourselves awhile back and loved it so much we bought this one to give as a gift to our daughter. Seasons and functions just like cast iron without the weight. Cleans up easily with hot water (best if pan is still warm), wipe with paper towel, then an ever so light coating of oil, and it's ready to go for the next round of cooking. LOVE the glass cover. Only con--it would be nice if it was a full 12" diameter instead of 11" so the lid would fit my other cast iron skillets. Great Product!

Not for everyone in our home. But I love it!!!
I love. My husband hates it. So we have two pans, His and Hers. I hated it when my husband cooked in it. I loved it, after I scrubbed his mess out of it and seasoned it. It cooks evenly, smartly and beautifully! And it's light enough for me to lift.
