A: Depends on the person. "Officially" 18+, but that rating is for the difficulty/complexity/fiddliness. My kid put together the Pyramid of Gaza, which is also 18+, when she was 16. But she loves Lego and literally did the pyramid with no help in one afternoon! Do I think every 16-year-old could do that? No. But if you know a teen who really wants *this* set, and you know they have the patience, I wouldn't let the age rating stop you from purchasing it for them.

Unstable for display, it will break
This set was fun to put together up until the stems stability. The simplest nudge and they pop out of the base. The green vines at the base of the stems which you connect to the stems base barely hangs on. Blowing on it popped it off. Now I did complete it and placed on my desk shelf for display. Bad idea. A bump to the desk, a touch to the orchid set the stems pop off and fall over. Good luck putting the set back together without having to take it apart. I managed to get the stems back on a few times (and yes I did move the set to a more stable area for display) but after the last time I had to disassemble pieces to get the base to click back in. If you have kids, cats, energetic bouncy dog, etc do not buy. This orchid set easily pops off the base then falls over and well you are lucky if it doesn't shatter when it falls.

It must be frustrating having a set you wanted displayed popping off or fall over! If you would like to re-build the set, we'd suggest double checking the build as there may be a piece slightly off from where it's meant to be. Favourite Botanical Set
This set is my all-time favourite from the Botanical line at LEGO. If you are considering one to buy first, I would recommend this one. It's the best size and the best price for what you get out of all the other botanicals. It is perfect for some room decor. The only thing is that the brown 'dirt' pieces are loose in the bottom, but you just have to ensure that it's not in a place where it could fall over which is pretty easy because the base is quite heavy. Overall, I definitely recommend

Gorgeous Display, Slightly Fragile
I had really high expectations for the LEGO Orchid set, and overall it was such an enjoyable build. The instructions were clear, the building process was relaxing, and the color palette is absolutely stunning. Once completed, it makes a beautiful decorative piece that brightens up any space. The only downside is stability — the plant isn’t as steady as I would have liked. Some parts fall apart a little too easily, which can be frustrating if you want to move it around. That said, it still looks gorgeous on display, and I’m happy to have it as part of my collection

Absolutely beautiful.
I bought this for my wife and was very surprised how much I enjoyed the build - I usually go for a lot higher piece count sets. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased additional Botanical sets. This set is very simple, yet very detailed.
