Just okay
Simple enough to build the castle itself is poor but let's be honest we are buying it for the dragon which is worth it

Fantastic Dragon
This is a fantastic (heavy-emphasis on the dragon) build. It plays great homage to Disney's classic. The details in small things such as the sword, shield, armor stand, and more are much appreciated. And, the dragon... the dragon is the best. It is currently residing atop my classic Lego yellow castle where it will stay sleeping on all my Lego treasure. Highly recommended and hope to see more sets like this in the future.

Good model but the dragon is difficult for a child
I bought this as an eighth birthday present for my niece. She was excited about it, and started to build it on her own as soon as she could. She enjoyed building it, and was able to build the castle and people on her own. However, the dragon was too fiddly for her alone, and she needed an adult to help her with it. However, it has been well played with since.

Fun building Aurora’s Castle and Maleficent’s
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this beautiful Lego sent on behalf of Influenster for my honest opinion. This Disney set was an exciting activity Lego activity for little girls. I had fun building Aurora’s Castle and Maleficent’s Dragon with my daughter. She loved it so much! I’m glad that Lego made a beautiful girl activity most products are geared towards boys. The Castle and Dragon is made of good quality material and will last a long time. It would made a good gift for any child and parent to put together. Thank you Lego for doing this for little girls.

Cute and easy to assemble
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely over the moon about my Lego set. It isn’t too big to display in my spare room with my husband’s Lego cars. I will have a great time putting it together. I can’t wait!

Love it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves playing with Lego and one is so far her favorite one. It took her and her dad to finish it in 2 hours. Dragon and castle legos came in different bags and were categorized properly and was easy enough for 6 years old to make it with little help.

Such A Fun Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter absolutely loves this Disney set. It was really fun to put together. The Legos are very colorful and easy to build. The instructions were very easy to understand and she really loved how durable everything is. She loves the very cute details on the castle and all the cool accessories that come with it. The dragon was really fun to build too, she loves the movable wings and the movable legs on the dragon.

Fun and complex
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lego are a classic toy. They are fun for all ages and my daughter really enjoyed putting this, over 500 piece set, together. It took her over an hour and she liked the complexity of the pieces. It’s always a fun time with legos.

Fun dragon
I am a longtime collector of dragons, especially LEGO dragons. I enjoy LEGO's dragons since they're both poseable and customizable. This dragon, though, didn't need much customization in order to please me. I was worried the wings would feel loose, as has been the case with some other dragons using the rubber edged wings, but I was pleasantly surprised this was not the case. I also didn't realize the small pie slice plates were opalescent, a nice surprise! The tail cannot move much, but can still be expressive when segments are rotated. The only things I wasn't too fond of were the piece on the back to attach a minidoll (which I easily replaced) and the eyes lacking pupils (which seems pretty common with LEGO dragons, so somewhat expected). The legs are constructed similarly to the old Elves dragons, hiding the joints so they feel seamless. This does somewhat limit poseability but I'm not too concerned with whether or not a dragon can do a split. Can't say anything about the castle or minidolls as I don't focus on those things. The horse is a nice inclusion though, I like how you can move its neck. An improvement from the older minidoll set horses.

Touch the spindle!
Soon as I seen Maleficent in dragon form I added to cart. This was such a cute build. Though Aurora and Prince Philip are already in my Disney castle was worth the purchase getting Samson. I already knew I was adding the dragon to my Disney castle and I love it

Came for the dragon, Stayed for the other bits
I'm a collector and builder of 80s and 90s classic Lego castles. When I saw this set, I was immediately drawn to the dragon. My 5 year old daughter loves Disney princesses. It made perfect sense to buy it for the dragon, and give the minidolls to her. The set ended up being a perfect match for us. The dragon is really great. The leg joints not only have front and back rotation, but slight side to side articulation. Add on separate for and claw articulation and the dragon can be given some excellent poses. There are a couple downsides to dragon build. The neck has limited forward range of motion. The wings only pivot up and down. They would have been better on ball joints so they could fold back. The rest of the set is nice. There are three printed alternately colored fairies on round 1x1 tiles with a spare for each. It also comes with three swords and a shield with unique print for the prince. Unfortunately most of the colored bricks used for the castle are too garish for classic castle builds. For what you get in the set, the price quite reasonable compared to other sets.

Great Dragon But Lackluster Castle
Maleficent dragon form looks amazing and quite posable. The castle looks off and not much character to it but the thorns are nice. The fairies in small form are fun to have. Prince Phillip's shield is wrong and should have a cross on it. Overall the figures look great, including Samson. Still a great set but just lacking in a few areas.

Dragon review
Was drawn in purely for the dragon build. Didn't bother with the castle wall or dolls. The dragon has loads of posability, looks very reminiscent to the movie and the build kept me interested. Also comes with the 3 fairies as 1x1 prints which are surprisingly detailed for something so small.
