  • A: No! The specs states "No Assembly Required" but that is not true. You do have to assembly it. Target needs to correct this misinformation.

  • A: it doesnot lock the bottom drawer. I researched amazon, wayfair and other stores to get a filing cabinet which locks both drawers. I bought this since it specifically says it locks both .

  • A: The Lavish Home 2-Drawer File Cabinet with Lock and Rolling Wheels has a lock, but it only locks the top drawer. The bottom drawer does not have a lock. Have a great day!

Assembly is Required

Nice product, not sure it is worth what I paid for and definitely not already assembled. I chose this one because I didnt want to have to deal with the 100 little pieces. Had to put in the work. Assembly is easiest with two people.

Not functional.

Be forewarned, if you put tabs on your hanging folders they will be too tall for the drawer. The folders are also too tall for the drawer and get jammed every time the drawer is opened or closed. Very nice looking piece but this is not functional.

2 drawer lock cabinet

I love the style of this lock cabinet and it wasn’t difficult to put it together which was nice. The only downside (which is why I gave 4 stars) is that only the top drawer locks, not the bottom. When I was looking to buy the item, nowhere in the item description does it say that only one locksmith. I have a similar style in my work office with one lock and it locks BOTH drawers so I assumed it was the same. I wish the description made it clean that ONLY the top drawer locks. Pretty bummed about that but I already took the time to build it so oh well. Hopefully this review prevents someone from making the same mistake. Also it does scratch easily so I’m going to put something on top to protect it from getting scratched up from items I will place on top. But other than that it’s really cute and is a good size!
