Interesting
This book gives a lot to think and talk about, and if you want, you can definitely elaborate on themes like religion, poverty, privilege, ability, and volunteerism that are *indirectly* touched on. Beautiful in an urban sort of way, like the book describes riding the bus and listening to someone play music on it. Not a life experience my child has had, but fun to think about. I do think it’s better for a slightly older child though, especially with the paper pages that little ones may rip.

Last Stop on Market Street
It's tough to be born into poverty, but with a wise and positive attitude, a grandmother keeps her grandson focused on the blessings and on the kind people with whom they regularly associate. Incredibly warm and friendly images of colourful friends all along their bus route, from church to the soup kitchen!
