3.5 stars! This Lasko 3 speed Fan is a nice lightweight windy fan with some exceptions. When they say it pivots what they mean is it only pivots up or down and has an annoying clicking sound for each pivot position. If using this in a bedroom the clicking sound made when you pivot the fan is so loud it would wake up the other person in the bedroom. This is not a problem for me because I change the pivot (if need be) b4 we go to bed. Sadly, I've slept with a fan for white noise all my life so I know a thing or two about fans. This fan has a soothing white noise. I do not think low is loud but do find that high is relatively loud. I prefer a louder fan to sleep but this one is loud enough but not as loud as others I've owned. I keep my fans clean and this one is very easy to clean. Simply remove 2 screws, yes, just two screws to remove the cover. It is by far the easiest fan I've ever cleaned. I don't like that the fan's screws screw directly into the plastic which means the screws will quickly fail (continue to twirl without making a connection). I will have to limit my full cleanings on this fan due to the shotty way the screws were installed (no metal backing for the screw to go into). I suggest keeping the copper wires free from debree; they attrack a lot of dust quickly and this will greatly shorten the life of your fan. I use this fan on a floor by my air conditioning vent and it does not move around like it does if placed on furniture. Dont let that deter you from buying this fan. all you have to do is place the fan on a throw rug with a rubber backer (like a bath rug) or use a silicone mat. Plus this fan is kinda like a box fan, but round; who puts a box fan on their furniture/table. So again, if you do, use a rug or silicone mat. Also, I'd like to address that one persons reviewed the wrong fan here called the 20" Cyclone Fan with Remote, (these two fans do look similar so it was an easy mistake he made) was mistakenly given for this fan (the one I'm reviewing now) called the Lasko A20100 20 Inch 3-Speed. His review was titled "Good quality and sound; ease of use" He said the plug was detachable and that it has a timer; IT HAS NEITHER! Again, his review was intended for another fan called the "Lasko 20" Cyclone Fan with Remote" and not the "Lasko A20100 20 Inch 3-Speed"

This fan moves a lot of air but even on low it's TOO LOUD. Low is more like medium. It's super lightweight and all plastic so it vibrates and may fall off of a hard surface piece of furniture without something underneath to steady it. Meh. :-(

Good quality. Works great. Bought one for my living room and one for my bedroom.

It puts out lots of air. But it is soooo thin and lightweight it keeps falling over. I have to turn it off when we leave so it doesn’t burn out the motor when it falls over.

The fan is so thin that are continually falls over

I love this fan. It’s slim, powerful, and you can change the angle. Perfect for our first floor to set close to air vents to try and keep things cool in the summer heat.

I have owned this can since February 2016 and I am just new needing a replacement. It ran 24/7 for 5 years straight.

I like the slim design, powerful fan and soft noise level.

I own this very fan, and it has been wonderful. Full power, low to high; easy to adjust speed, and it has a timer if needed for hour control. Also, it tilts up and down. The cord is detachable as well. Quiet on low, but makes enough relaxing noise while on medium and high, for those who love the noise of a box fan to sleep, but smoother noise; not a rackety noise. Love it better than a traditional box fan.

I bought this fan on line and I was happy that it arrived quickly but when I opened the box, I noticed it had been used/ it was a returned. It was dirty/ stained and the cord was loose. I didn’t plug it in to check out if it worked since I wasn’t planning on keeping it.
