A: Hi Product Answerer - What a great question! This ladder does not include any arms or clamps outside of one to hold the light string up for operation. This can be seen in one of the photos of the ladder against the wall. We hope this helps! - Jerith

Very Disappointing
We bought this Santa climbing the ladder in December 2024. It worked perfectly! We stored the set in it's original packaging for 11 months. When we set it up for Christmas 2025, the Santa would climb up the ladder, but would not climb back down. Despite taking the set apart, we still could not get the Santa to climb back down the ladder. I would not recommend purchasing this Santa as there are too many similar reviews. I've tried contacting Target to issue an exchange or a refund, but they will not do so because the Santa was purchased more than 3 months ago. This Santa was not cheap and now we are out the money. Very disappointed in the quality of the product and Target's lack of effort to make this right.

Would have given zero stars because it wasn’t Santa in the box! It was an elf. And I couldn’t even exchange it for a new one as the store didn’t even have anymore in stock and when I tried to explain it to the worker. It was like she didn’t care. I just didn’t want another person to be stuck with something they didn’t want

Like others have stated, this is a very cute item in theory. I bought three of these three years in a row, not cause he stopped working, but because after a couple of uses he’d get to the top and then slide all the way down. His feet always place well enough to where his step is fully on the ladder but the higher he goes the further away his step moves from the ladder till he gets to the top and misses the step completely then slides all the way down and then gets stuck. I have tried everything, again, have bought 3 but they all have had the same problem. The ladder is not well made, you can tell it’s cheap material, after a couple days it already had a slight bend in the middle and nothing I do, even putting it at a steeper angle fixes it. It’s a great concept but cheaply made.

Cute, But Doesn't Work Well
I’ve wanted this Santa since last year , so we finally got it. He looks adorable, but he constantly stops climbing the ladder and just gets stuck in one position. You can reposition him, and sometimes that will fix the issue, and other times it doesn’t. For the cost, he should work a lot better than it does.

Santa doesn't move
Right out of the box and Santa will not move. We have tried everything, and all the trouble shooting listed on the instructions. Nothing works. I'm just going to return it, and after reading many other reviews, I probably will not exchange it. It appears that many people haven't had good luck with this item. I was so excited to get this, too. :(

Sad Santa
Got him on sale during Black Friday but opened Santa up today to set him up and right out of the box does NOT climb. He is so cute but nothing we have tried has worked. No more in stock this late, so he’s going back to the North Pole.
