Product opened anf cellophane was removed from original packaging

I wanted to give this product as a Christmas gift. The cellophane was removed from the original packaging and as you can see the box is a tattered. Not sure if the product was used. When I called and spoke with a rep, he stated that he could only issue me a $10 gift card but nothing else. How am I supposed to give this as a gift in this condition? I'm a frequent ShopRite target while others have stopped. Now I question my choice!
