    Soft and Cosy

    Bought one size up, fits great

    After several other comments, I bought a size larger than my normal. I weigh 160 lbs, 5’6 in, Large worked great. It’s a thin enough material that it doesn’t change my normal pant fit, but added the extra warmth I needed!

    down size

    I returned Plus is the fabrics nice. I ordered the S as I'm a size 10 but they are lose and have no elastane , so i think will end up baggy. The waistband elastic felt overly bulky for such fine fabric.

    Very nice fine knit fabric, but way too short in the leg! I am 5 foot 1 so purchased petite, but did not reach my ankles. Because they are pure silk and have no stretch, they just rode straight up to my mid calf.

    VERY wide, bulky waist band!

    Why would anyone design a thin undergarment with a 2-3/8" wide waist band, that's also fabric covered and adds even more thickness at the waist where minimal bulk is desired?! Returning it. Also, wanted black but had to order ivory instead because LE was out of black in my size.

    Does not feel like silk, seems not secured well

    I have two pairs of these from 2004 and thought I'd get another pair while they're on sale. The quality difference is shocking. The newest pair feel like acrylic and are not nearly as well constructed as my older pair. Returning these and looking for a higher quality manufacturer.

    Lovely fabric - BUT way too tight at the waist…

    I bought these recently, to go with the gorgeous Lands End silk long-sleeve vests I had already purchased. They were the same lovely silk material - but the waistband was far too tight. I didn’t even try them on, for fear of snagging the material by mistake. Very disappointing.

    Best base layer bottoms

    These are the best silk long base layer bottoms. They are like a second layer of skin and not bulky at all. They block the wind from making your legs cold. I plan on purchasing more.

    Bad fit unfortunately

    Lightweight packs small. I am 5’6” I usually wear Landsend 14 - 16. the bottoms were baggy round my tummy, thighs and knees and too short, I am not thin . I thought this would be extremely uncomfortable under another garment so sent them back though I have kept the matching top.

    Women's Silk Leggings

    My girlfriend bought these leggings but she never liked them because of the material. She asked if I wanted to try them on even though they are women's apparel. I immediately fell in love with how they fit and the silky smooth feel on my l legs. I could live in these women's leggings these are the best pants I have ever owned. I louge in, running errands and morning walks.

    Why is the women's version poorer quality?

    I started purchasing these silk base layers when they were available with the cuffs. Since then, the quality of the material and construction has declined significantly. Like other reviewers, I experienced the pants and sleeves of the new designs ridding up. I was disappointed to see that the men's versions are still available with the cuffs. That disparity is the reason I won't be purchasing again.

    PLEASE bring the long cuff back

    The new ones pill easily and the cuffs ride up. Even though the old ones I have now have holes in them, I would not repurchase unless you bring back the prepandemic version. Thank you!

    Quality with good fit

    Purchased these after winter because I was always looking for a thinner long underwear to wear under pants that didn’t feel so bulky. They are exactly what I wanted. The waistband is a bit thick, but won’t worry about them falling down.

    I like the new waist band. They are still on the thin side. They are Too short in the length. I have to tuck them into my socks to keep them from riding up.

    Warm but ankles roll up and waist band cuts in two

    I have some old LE pointelle silk thermals that are still good however these pants have a waist band that is very uncomfortable and the ankles roll up. I do hope next winter LE will introduce a different silk product. These are otherwise perfect.

    Areas that could use improvement

    I bought these in November 2024, they fit true to size however the waistband is super wide elastic that tends to fold over as you wear it creating what feels like your middle being cut off. The waistband is high if you have a long torso. I like the softness however they snag easily because they are pure silk and when wearing with my pants, they ride up my calf as I am getting dressed. They wash up great and I line dry them.
