The UPF rating for our swimwear, including our rash guards, is determined based on the construction of the fabrication and typically does not have added chemicals or finishes. Before assigning UPF labeling, materials are exposed to conditions that simulate approximately 2 years of normal seasonal uses. The testing is conducted by our nominated 3rd party test lab. Our Swim UPF test reports are also submitted to Skin Cancer Foundation for validation. We expect our products to give UV protection with material nature (fabric thickness & tight construction) instead of non-durable chemical finishes. However, nothing is “permanent” for a lifetime as fabric construction may loosen after repeated stretching & wearing.
