A terrible car accident forever changes the lives of young Max and Poncho, as well as that of Officer Esteban Rey. For the children, losing their parents may not be the worst misfortune they will face, for they are forced to live with a relative they have never met: Aunt Carmen, whose ideas and convictions are more horrifying than the ghosts in the house they will inhabit.

Esteban Rey, meanwhile, is too tormented and blinded by his own loss to heed the warnings he receives. He will not stop his investigation until he uncovers the true causes of the accident, and he will become the children's greatest ally in their attempt to survive the nightmare of the last house on the mountain.

Xavier M. Sotelo nació en Guadalajara, Jalisco, en diciembre de 1977. Estudió la licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación. Desde niño ha sentido una gran fascinación por el cine, las novelas y los videojuegos. Aficionado a las historias de terror, es también autor de Lobos, novela con la que regresó a los hombres lobo a su origen, al lugar que se merecen como los "niños de la noche".
