Allergic reaction
I was so excited to try this new mascara considering I’ve used lash paradise since high school, roughly 7ish years. After purchasing and using this mascara I noticed my eyelids began to itch or get really sensitive and red. After many more uses my eyelids began to swell and burn. I’m sad that I’m allergic to this product considering I’m a huge fan of the mascara brand but I’d rather not have swollen and itchy eyelids so I will be throwing out my lash products. As well the mascara was very flaky and did not seem that waterproof.

Arrived broken & Target doesn't offer a credit
Like SO many others who have shared their reviews/photos, my Paradise Big Deal Mascara arrived with NO BRUSH on the applicator! In addition, the contents stink strongly of chemicals. I'm disappointed, because I've relied on L'Oreal for many of my cosmetics for years, and their quality is usually top notch. Unfortunately, Target requires that you physically travel to a store in order to return the product to receive a credit! This seems quite non-customer-friendly, as the $15 would be far exceeded by the time and energy required to travel round-trip to a store and the stress of dealing with a clerk. So I have to eat the cost, find another waterproof mascara, and spend more money. I love L'Oreal's Voluminous and Lash Paradise lines, but haven't found a waterproof one that works as well as the regular ones. I'm disappointed in Target and in L'Oreal.

As good as high end. I've bought drugstore and high end mascara, this performs as well as the $30 mascara. I wear contacts and this didn't flake or irritate my eyes. It looks beautiful, lashes are separated. It's easy and quick to apply without clumping. I can't think of one negative, I just hope they dont discontinue it.

New favorite mascara. I have dry skin and need to wear oily products around my eyes to keep my skin hydrated, but that usually results in mascara getting everywhere and disappearing off my eyelashes. This stuff stays on all day with minimal smearing. One or two coats goes a long way. It will get lumpy if you wait too long between coats. Definitely lengthening and I think it looks really pretty.

Not worth the hype
The first tube I purchased, the spooly was detached from the wand. I was not impressed when I was finally able to try the mascara. It gets clumpy too fast and this was all on the first application. I wanted to love it, but it just did not work for me.

Is it really waterproof?
Is anyone else finding this mascara to be not truly waterproof (flakes when met with humidity, tears, rain, etc)? I do give it credit for not running, but it is so flaky when met with any moisture and it washes off at the end of the day like any washable mascara. I am also struggling with the fact that when I try to build my lashes up with their recommended 15-30 strokes, I end up with clumps and globs. I bought this because of the influencer videos I saw recommending it, but now I'm thinking that they were paid to promote it.

Horrible mascara. I didn’t even put that much on my lashes and it was all over the place (especially on my prepped eyelids!). I hate when I buy something based off an influencer’s (paid) review and it’s total garbage!! Money wasted! Do NOT recommend.

Flaking and Irritation
I have been using Loreal mascara for 40 years ... with Splashout being my all-time favorite. I struggled to find a mascara after Splashout was discontinued. I tried this mascara about a year ago and initially fell in love with it ... but, the last two tubes I have purchased are flaking terribly ... and the flakes get into my eyes causing irritation and tearing ... what is going on Loreal?

This L’Oréal Paris Paradise Big Deal Waterproof Mascara checks all of the boxes for me! I have oily skin and prefer a waterproof mascara that won’t smudge. and this one stays all day. The color is a nice, deep black. I typically apply two coats of mascara and I was pleasantly surprised at how full and voluminous my lashes appeared with only one coat. The bristles of the applicator are very fine, which distributes the mascara evenly. I highly recommend!
