I recently received my order and unfortunately, two of the main legs were made incorrectly — it seems like the holes for the bolts were soldered on wrong. I thought maybe I had accidentally swapped the pieces around and so I switched them again and it still was off. Because of this, the entire structure was thrown off. I had to leave one of the bolts unscrewed just to get the remaining pieces to fit together. I’m really disappointed, as I was excited for these and had nearly completed assembly before realizing the issue. Now I’m left with something that feels unsafe to sit on and time wasted trying to assemble these. To make matters worse, I’m being asked to return them intact the way they are or take the extra time taking them all the way apart after I spent three hours, trying to figure out how to assemble them, therefore I will have to go purchase a very large box to return them or make a special trip to take them to the nearest location which is not close whatsoever — which feels unfair given that the issue is due to a manufacturing defect. They honestly need to be thrown away. I would’ve liked to have a full refund so I could use that towards a different set of barstools and not have to worry about the process of sending these back. I’ve always had good luck with purchasing furniture from Target but this time I wasn’t as lucky.
