Q: Hi, can this be used with drinks other than water like hot coffee?

A: This cap is not for hot beverages. The straw delivers hot liquids too quickly to your mouth and you could burn yourself. Depending on the temperature of your beverage, the pressure can cause the hot liquid to travel up the straw and overflow. The TKWide line has interchangeable caps and we have the perfect cap for every beverage type! I would recommend the cafe cap or the loop cap for hot beverages.

Finally dropped it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And it’s holding up, the plastic lid got some chunks taken out and a tiny bit of the paint chipped. After going thru the dishwasher a few times (minimum weekly) there have been a few spots that have gotten fainter than the rest of the color? Kinda looks ugly now heh. Still a solid bottle though, except sometimes I will just sit in my office and maybe there’s weird airflow in there because water will just shoot out of the straw unprovoked; definitely not leak-proof and when it’s closed, water that comes out of the straw will still come out of the sides of the twist cap :woman-shrugging:

So good I rebought as a broke student
This water bottle was so good, I drank more water than with any other bottle I had before. Not only does it keep the water cold, but the straw is so easy to clean, and the fact that is metal and not plastic or rubber means that it doesn't stain or leave unwanted leftover flavors in your straw. Someone stole my bottle a couple of weeks ago and after quite a consideration I rebought the bottle (upgraded it to 32oz though) because even if I am a broke in college I know that this bottle helped me stay more hydrated than ever before, it was a health investment. So yeah it's great!

one bottle, two tops=all day hydration!
I got both the straw cap, and the twist cap and use this bottle interchangeably throughout the day! I love taking it to business conventions or seminars that provide coffee/water stations. I get my fill of coffee/tea in the AM, then switch tops for the iced beverages in the afternoon! the bottle is super easy to clean, and so are the caps!

Drinking experience of twist cap is unpleasant
Really wanted to like this, but the twist cap does not work as expected. Drinking through the straw does not provide a smooth flow, it bubbles and aerates the water excessively, which leads to a stomach ache.

My favorite straw water bottle
This is so well designed. I like how the lid is interchangeable (you can buy other lids) so i can use it for non straw beverages. My kids take it to school with the included straw lid and it stays sanitary and hasnt leaked on us yet. We’ve had it over a year. My kids like the twist top which helps them remember to actually close the lid. Its very durable and I love the straw inside is stainless so less plastic in my water and importantly no plastic straw taste.

Twist cap with straw leaks
Twist cap with straw leaks when laid on its side and when you untwist it on a flight the built up pressure causes water to squirt everywhere. Not a good travel bottle/cap.

Picked up one of these bottles at Target, and really enjoyed it. Accidentally left it at a relative's house during a trip, and liked it enough that I went looking for another one. Never found another one at Target, so wanted to order one online. Have never had any problems with leaking, and the straw cap is great. I only wish it was available in more colors; the Insulated Coffee Tumbler has more colors, and is the same bottle as near as I can tell. Just a different lid. I was going to buy one of those in Real Teal, and then just buy a Twist Cap to switch, but then found out that the Twist Cap comes with a small steel straw that you have to put an extender on. I'd rather just have the proper sized straw to begin with, so I'll probably end up getting this one that's labeled as a water bottle, just in a color I don't like as much. A bummer, but still a great product.

I just got this water bottle and I absolutely love it! I'm not a huge fan of the silicone straw (the portion you drink out of on the twist cap) but it was very thoughtfully designed, and opens and closes great.

Great for on the go
I love this cup! Its easy to carry, keeps everything cold or hot and I feel more comfortable taking this on a walk because the straw is completly covered. This cup also fits my jogging stroller cup holder.

This cup may be the most perfect one out there. All dishwasher safe? Yes! Insulated to keep drinks cold? Of course! Stainless steel inside, including the straw? Yep! Wide mouth bottle that’s easy to fill and clean? Most definitely! Wide mouth bottle that doubles as a cup? What? Shut the front door!? It’s actually comfortable to drink out of and it doesn’t feel like it will slice your lips! Think that’s all? Nope! The lid has this amazing silicone straw with a twisty lid that slides over and completely covers said spout to keep all the germs away. Finally, this strong metal handle that’s actually something comfortable to carry. Cons? Everyone wants to take my precious bottle!

Leaky! Beware!
This water bottle has every feature I look for. Fits in a cup holder, straw lid, good carry handle. But shame on me - I put it in the side pocket of my work bag, only to find that it leaks. It ruined a section of wood floor. For such an expensive water bottle from a generally reputable brand, I'm really disappointed that the leakiness seems to be a recurring problem for people, and that I'm one of them.
