It’s plastic wood, incredibly light, but very soft material, like a styrofoam type of wood. Definitely not for heavy use. I plan on using it for lighter objects, like face masks, towels, tissues. Anything heavier than 5 lbs per shelf would make me worried. Other than that, it’s the perfect dimension, easy to put together, and looks good from a distance. It would not be a statement piece, but is functional and attractive for its place in my bathroom. Not necessarily flimsy, but a bit more delicate of a piece of furniture. See photos.
