Kiehl's Men Refreshing Vitamin E Facial Fuel Invigorating Face Wash Gel Cleanser 250ml/8.4oz

I really like the herbal face wash. It’s cleans your skin really well and is refreshing. The one thing I would say that I’ve experienced is the inconsistency of the smell, especially in the 64oz bottle. Sometimes it’s very strong smelling, almost chemically.

The formula has changed, and for the worse. Very sad as I have used this (and many other Kiehl's products) for many many years. I do not recommend this product.

I’ve been using Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash for over 8 years, and it has always been my go-to cleanser. Until recently, I would have recommended it without hesitation. About two weeks ago, I purchased the same product in the 1-liter bottle, which is what I always buy. However, this time something feels very different. With my previous 1-liter bottle, one pump was more than enough to thoroughly cleanse my face. With this new bottle, I need four pumps just to get a similar effect — and even then, it still doesn’t feel like my skin is as clean. The new formula itself seems less effective. It no longer gives that deep-clean, refreshing feel that Facial Fuel was known for. My face doesn’t feel properly cleansed afterward, and the overall experience is noticeably inferior to what I’ve used for years. If this is a new or reformulated version, it’s a major downgrade. Needing four times the amount of product not only affects performance, but also value — the bottle will obviously run out much faster. I’m extremely disappointed, especially as a long-time loyal customer. Something has clearly changed, and unfortunately, not for the better.

I loved this product in the past but something has changed as this no longer foams up. I bought multiple sizes thinking it was a one off situation but consistently they are bad.

I received this product as part of a gift set for Christmas ‘24. I loved it so much I’ve used it all year and now have this gigantic bottle to use in ‘26!

This is not the Energizing Face Wash, it is the Invigorating Face Wash. New Formula, not as good. I have been a Kiehls customer for over 40 years, and this is the first formula change I have seen. The product is a poor imitation of the older product. DO NOT BUY.

I've been getting the bigger bottle and using just one pump for years. It has also lasted me for a long time. This time, the consistency seems more watery than before. Same scent and same effectiveness though.

I’ve been a loyal user of this product for many years, but sometime this year, Kiehls seems to have changed the formula. It is very diluted, you have to use twice the amount, and even then it’s difficult to get any lather. It’s not just one bad bottle either as it’s been an issue with multiple bottles. After using this for many years, I plan to look for alternatives elsewhere.

Like others, I had been using this for years and years - never even thought about changing to something else. Then Kiehl's change the formulation. This "new" version is awful. I saw a note below from customer care on how they maintained the efficacy, quality, yada, yada. No, no they did not. It takes at least 50% more product to get the same lather and coverage before the change. There was a massive formula change, so much so that it's disingenuous for Kiehl's to keep the name even remotely the same (even more so when you consider they kept the name exactly the same for a bit). This is a different, inferior, product than what they had before. Count me as another lost customer.

As everyone else mentioned, the formula is now different. Of course Kiehl's will babble on how they "improved" the product, even though everyone is complaining. I will no longer be purchasing this. Sad as I have used this for 20 years!

The new formula smells like dishwasher detergent, is watery and doesn’t lather at all, and dries me out. I’ve been a loyal Kiehl’s customer for several years but won’t be buying again.

I’ve been a big fan of Kiehl’s for a long time! The Facial Fuel is the perfect face wash! It feels like it’s thoroughly cleansing my face and afterward it feels awake and clear!

I've been buying this for easily 15+ years. I feel like the formula changed. It used to be more minty/eucaplyptus and now it's more citrus-scented. Not bad, but not at all as good as it used to be. it used to invigorate.

This is my husband’s all-time favorite facial cleanser. He has sensitive skin, and this is the one product that never irritates it. I surprised him with a new bottle as an early Christmas gift this year (it’s always on his wish list), and he was so excited!
