Horrible quality
I truly wouldn’t recommend this backpack to anyone. After less than a month, the backpack was falling apart, the pink finish literally flaking off and looks like it’s been used for years. Three months later and it has gotten significantly worse, and I will likely have to purchase a backpack mid-year. I purchased a backpack from my son from this same collection and it has held up great. It is just this design.

My son like the middle strap that connected the 2 shoulder straps so we purchased this backpack. That broke within the first month of school. The nylon tab connected to the main zipper is all frayed. Where the backpack meets the zipper it continues to fray on the inside and get stuck in the zipper.

So disappointed in this backpack. Within a month it was fraying at the worst spot—around the zipper. Countless times they became stuck in the zipper (despite cutting them anytime I saw them) and my daughter’s materials were stuck inside.

Was such a cute backpack at a great price point. We started school in August and currently it’s November and we already have a hole developing. We debated between a cheaper or more expensive backpack and now I’m not sure I’d do cheaper again since I feel like I might be replacing 2 a year or more.

Every year I buy a new cat & Jack backpack for my child and they last all year, except for this one. The chest snap broke after 2 months use. He still uses the backpack. I guess we'll just wait for it to completely fall apart, like the lunch box, before getting a new one. Disappointed in the quality of target products.
