Kidco Quick Install Safeway Gate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to say that I even made an attempt to put this gate together and see how it fit and looked in my hallway. However, upon opening the box there were hundreds of pieces. I could not believe that you had to individually attach each rung of the gate, let alone you had to attach , the clips to the wall. Way too many pieces, way too complicated to find some things simply needed from a different brand and or style. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this gate for when I babysit my nephew. I was expecting an easy pop up gate like I had when my kids were younger. What I didn't expect was to assemble a gate with about a thousand pieces (I'm over exaggerating slightly), but there were a lot. I wouldn't have minded the assembly so much, but what I especially didn't like was the fact that this gate needed to be screwed into the wall. I was hoping for a gate that I could move from room to room as needed. I guess what I should have been looking for was a portable gate. I received an incentive to write this review.

We need another one due to having a puppy and he needs to be trained before having full access to some rules. This is by far one of the cheapest we have bought. If a dog or child has any significant strength, I would not trust this gate. We did not put this up due to that. Also, my other gates all came in sections, this was all in pieces and I would not have the patience for that. I received an incentive to write this review.

When I opened this and checked for all the parts they were there. This is definitely a two person job and you are essentially building the entire gate to fit on the wall. The instructions tell you how it all goes together and the tools are included I received an incentive to write this review.

The instructions tell the user to lay the pieces down and insert the square end into the top or bottom piece. As I was doing just that, I get in the latest bar to just to have to go back and reinsert the previous bars. It is a pain in the neck and I gave up five bars in. It does feel sturdy if you wanted to go thru the trouble of building it. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great gate for babies or dogs. The metal gate is easy to install and almost impossible to break. My 2 year old will stand on it and swing back and forth and it's still holding strong. If your looking for a strong and sturdy baby gate look no further, this is the gate for you. My husband spent 10 minutes installing so very easy. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure where to start with this gate by Kidco. It came in the tiniest box and I had to build the whole thing which I wasn’t expecting. I thought at least a panel would be intact already. It’s not user friendly to build. It took 30 minutes just to get the spindles in the tracks and I was so frustrated because they kept falling out as I was trying to put the top track on all the spindles. Then you have to screw everything together and mount it to the wall. The box did come with a mounting template which I appreciated. But this took way to long to put together. Once it was built it was fine. It’s definitely a latching system where the child won’t figure out how to open it. Color is a white enamel over metal. I suggest building this with a second person. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KidCo Quick Stall Safeway is anything but quick to put together. This was a pain to assemble so make sure you install this when you have a good chunk of time to do so. I will say that it does seem pretty sturdy which was a nice plus after piecing it together. My son figured out how to open our old gate so we needed one that was a bit trickier for him to figure out. This has a latch where it’s mounted to the wall that you push down and then lift the gate up to swing open so I think that will prevent him from figuring out how to open the gate himself. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KidCo quick install Safeway gate is very annoying to put together. I did not realize when I got it that I had to assemble the whole gate. I believe my package was a return since there was tape all over it and it came a bit damaged. It took a very long time to assemble the gate. The middle bars kept falling out as I was putting it together. Not a good project for a tired parent. I did like the length of the gate when I got it together. When I opened it the spokes didn’t fit as easily as they should have and did look rusted out. I am not sure if I was sold a used product or not but this gate absolutely was not straight from the factory made. The attachment to the wall even felt broken. I will be returning it for either a new of the same or a different brand all together. I received an incentive to write this review.
