Kichler Lighting Geno 1 - Light Ceiling Fan in Stainless Steel

Nice modern looking fan; very quiet; good wind flow; gives great light for a large bedroom. Such an improvement over our previous fan/light.

I have owned ceiling fans in my home for many years, use them extensively and finally had to replace one. I chose this Kichler based upon the manufacture’s outstanding reputation. I had the fan installed professionally by a reputable electrician. The fan looks amazing, is a great light source in this medium sized bedroom. As the weather warmed up, I wanted to make sure the fan was spinning in the correct direction to maximize cooling in the bedroom. While the diagram in the owners manual shows that the fan direction switch is on the side of the motor housing (like all my other ceiling fans), I was not able to locate the switch anywhere on the side of the motor housing as depicted in the manual diagram. After further searching, I located the switch on the top of the motor housing. This has to be the most inconvenient placement possible for accessing this important fan function that needs to be done at least twice yearly to maximize functionality of the ceiling fan. This unnecessary inconvenience is the only reason for the low rating, so if that’s not a big deal for you, this is a great fan that works great in a medium sized room, once you climb up to the ceiling to adjust blades to the seasonally appropriate direction.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a dark farmhouse style fan with Kichler's Geno 54" fan in a brushed stainless steel finish, updating the look to a more modern, transitional style (and just in general, lightening up the space and making it feel larger). It is a surprising subtle, 'lightweight,' and contemporary look that pairs well with our decor. The integrated light has a frosted cover and looks nice on or off. The light is dimmable, which is great for mood setting and can be controlled with or without the fan, with the included remote. Installation was easy for two 'non-handy' people and would not have been much harder with just one person. (Anyone who has done similar things before won't have any trouble at all. An electrician who was visiting for another reason, mentioned Kichler products are easy to install.) We really like the quietness of the fan as well--it does a great job circulating the air in our dining area without rocking or clunking like our old one did. Our Kichler Geno fan feels high quality and we are very pleased!

Its has a very sleek modern look with its brushed stainless steel. It was extremely easy to install and when you turn it on its so quiet you cant even hear that its in motion! LED lights made all the difference and the best feature is the remote! I don't have to walk to pull a chain to control it! Absolutely gorgeous fan!!!!

The fan itself produces the perfect amount of air when needed. I like that it has a remote control to use. This is a perfect ceiling fan for any area in your home.

Fan works and looks great. Install was a bit of a challenge on the first one, but I imagine there is a learning curve. Stuffing the wires “neatly” into the electrical box is not so easy.

The install was easy and the brushed finish really gives an updated clean look! The fan has multiple different speeds and is nice and quite even on the highest settings! The directions were simple and made this easy for even a novice to install!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed a large fan in our living room because we just bought a house with no AC, and this fit the bill. I love the style, and it puts out a little more light than I expected. Style-wise, there are 2 blade options, stainless or walnut; we went with the walnut, which looks really nice against the stainless. Most importantly, though, it moves a lot of air, and it does so pretty quietly. It does come with a remote as well, which is nice. My only complaint is that you can't switch the fan's direction on the remote; it can be done, but it's a manual switch on the top of the fan. Otherwise, I'm really happy with it!
