It is super easy to install - simply twist it until it fits snugly in the window opening. To uninstall, you just twist the rod in the opposite direction.

Twists easily to tighten, but won't hold a heavy curtain and hooks. Made for lighter material. I would go with the longer one if you need max length, as it looses its strength in the middle.
