It is very soft. Which is why I partly give it 3 stars, because the bristles bend easily when pressed against and don't pop back in place. If kept in the right area, face up it would be fine. But that is not always a priority when using!

Bristles come off
So soft however the bristles tend to come off and are in my babies hair. Horrible flaw of a beautiful looking brush. I’d look on etsy for one if you are considering this brush.

Sooo soft
This brush is extremely soft from the handle into the bristles. I can’t get over it and the smoothness. It was exactly what we were looking for, for our tiny little micro premie who needed some extra TLC with a lot of gentleness. She enjoys this brush and smiles after every brush we give her. It’s a nice solid brush as well and easy to hold. It a nice size and stores well in her diaper bag, or bedside bag, or in the pocket of the halo bassinet.

I love this brush a 100x over. It's so soft you can brush your new born hair with it. I used it on my first baby's hair and now 2 years later, my second new born hair. This brush is so soft it puts my newborn to sleep. What a great product. And hardly any dust buildup in the brush

Not meant for longer hair
This is a perfect first brush for children under two or children with short, fine hair. My kid is 3 and has long fine hair. This brush does nothing - it literally shifts a few strands of hair with each stroke. Zero detangling abilities.
