Q: Is it safe to put this toy in the water?

A: You can probably get it wet a few times, but there are metal parts that may react with salts and chlorine in water and gradually degrade. We haven't placed the super colossal in water, but have played with the one that vomits stuff up. That one got a bit stiff on the button but still works well enough.

Target stinks
This arrived broken and the box ripped up. I took it back to target and they said I could not exchange it I had to refund and repurchase it for $30 more than I originally paid for it! I did because it was my grandsons Christmas gift. Target this was such a scam and no wonder people don’t want to shop at your store. Unbelievable to me.

Awesome toy!
My 4 year old son loves this! He plays with it often and it seems durable so far. He got some of the Jurassic "minis" for Christmas & they work well with both this & the T-Rex he got. I would buy it again. Great quality so far!

Broken fin out of the box
This was the big gift for my son this past Christmas 2025 he was so excited when he opened it but the fin would not attach when we were putting it together. He was so sad he kept crying (he’s 3 with Autism he doesn’t understand) we had to hide it until we could exchange it for a new one. The new one seems fine so far. It’s been 3 days. Fingers crossed it actually last. This toy is way over priced for it to come defective.

Terrible quality - fins snap off
Same as everyone else, Christmas morning my 3 year old started playing with this and within 30 mins the front right fin fell off and wouldn't snap back in. The next day same thing happened with the back two fins. They couldn't even bother to play test this thing? Absolutely Temu-level quality.

Unfixable Fin Problem!
Son loves it, but like others, the screw in the large front left fin came out and is inside the fin, unable to be removed/fixed. This was a very expensive gift and it lasted less thant 3 days. Poorly designed functionality. I expect more from an expensive toy, albeit plastic, but his other Jurasic toys have been fine. Has anyone gotten a refund or replacement?

Terrible quality. DO NOT BUY!!
The fins and the tail keep falling off with even the most gentle play. We have tried two of them and they both have the same problem. Save yourself some time and look for some other toy.

Total let down
Very disappointed! Gifted to my son for his birthday. He played with it twice for a few minutes and the front right fin popped off with no way to fix. The box was thrown of course because we expected great quality, but we were let down. Target, will you make this right on behalf of Mattel?

Cool dino
My 3 year old received this Dino as a gift. Cool toy that is really big and largely well made. My only issue is that its fins keep popping off. They are not broken, they just keep coming off and interrupting playtime to get fixed.

It really is not meant for a standard might be better for a pool. Make sure the connections don’t get conked up with soap or it will not turn off till clean. My 6 year old loves it

Zero stars. Dont waste your money
Like many others stated this was a gift for 9yo at Christmas. Immediately one fin wouldn’t stay in. I mentioned trying to get a new one that wasn’t broken but they wouldn’t give up trying to make it work. In the process of trying to get the one fin to stay 2 other fins broke off. And we have a very disappointed kid as this was their one really wished for item this year. They want a replacement but given the reviews I already would bet it’s going to be the same issue. But they won’t take my suggestion of a different Dino or toy even after I showed them the many reviews of people having the same issue. Not sure if there was a bad batch of these or what but typically this line of Dino’s is of better quality. I wouldn’t waste the money on this.
