Experiments don't work well
Many experiments have not worked. Chemicals don’t react properly. Crystals never grow. We have done about 20 experiments so far and only 3 of them have been worthwhile. Really disappointed.

Not working chemicals
Not working agents/chemicals that do not show any results. The experiment also requires you to bring a lot of stuff like white vinegar glue etc. also the balloon provided triggers a hazard to kids.

Wonderful science kit with so many experiments to choose from. You can make it a weekend bonding moment or allow them to play independently (when it's appropriate). I bought this for my nephew, and he has an absolute blast being a pretend scientist.

Our kids have had a super time experimenting with this kit. Almost daily they ask to do another experiment and are super interested in learning the why part of what's happening. And to be honest....it's have that as fun to help them do the experiments as adults!

This was a good science kit for my 3yo. It definitely requires supervision for this age for keeping the space tidy, but otherwise he was able to enjoy the various activities at his developmental stage, even though this is geared toward slightly older kids. I will say he is a bit advanced for his age. This met all of our expectations and ive orders it a few times as gifts and to replenish our supply.
