This is a great value of pull back cars. The cars are tiny and colorful. There is plastic clear outer body that allows you to see through the colors of the car. It is not meant to be removed. The cars operate easily. A simple pull back sends the car into actions of fast twists and turns. The cars are best used in open spaces. My granddaughter enjoyed these.Here's my rating scale for products:1 Star: Regret ordering due to serious flaws/product failure.2 Stars: I wouldn't order again because product is subpar.3 Stars: Not my personal preference. From the moment I saw this set, that's what I've been thinking of.For those who are unfamiliar - Micro Machines were mini cars and trucks. They had the pull-back action. When you'd pull back on one, it would ZIP across the floor or table and if it ran out of table and ended up on the floor, it would bounce a bit then keep racing forward if the pull back wasn't finished.The look of these cars are like the Micro Machines but the actual cars are not even close.These are very cheaply made little cars. If you pull back on them a bit too hard, you break the mechanism that makes them roll forward.They have a very thin piece of clear plastic covering the car which protects the decorations and the wheels from rubbing against each other as they roll.You get a random assortment of cars. I was surprised to see just how many variations there are packed in my box. See the photos if you want to know just what we got in the box.Please don't anyone get me wrong. I'm not criticizing these toys. You are not buying expensive toys, you are buying inexpensive ones to give to kids who are going to break even the best-built cars in very short order, if they don't lose the little toy first! Mostly it's the rear tires which are easy to pick off and swallow. But the cars are perfect for kids ages eight and older, as the product description states. Little toy cars have always been kid favorites! These are about half the size of the traditional small metal cars, and a lot cheaper, as they are made of plastic.The cars work well with toy car garages designed for the traditional metal models, though. This is a great collection and I expect it will be a very popular classroom prize. I know my five grandsons are really enjoying it!
