I’m so beside myself right now… I loved the way this looked in the picture. And in building it, I could see it *does* match the picture, perfectly- if only it could actually be put together, in a usable way, at all. But I have never, never, in my entire full adult life of building stupid box furniture, faced such a piece of work. 3 *HOURS*, yes, hours, my building buddy gave in and couldn’t keep up with it. I am now SEVEN HOURS. Yes, SEVEN, into trying to build this creature of the infernal. The instructions do not match the product’s parts in some sections. I’m handy, so I’ve managed that. But now? The screws in the drawer tracts- the ones I did according to instruction- the screw’s themselves are BLOCKING the drawers from rolling in. I’m on the last step and now I’m facing returning not only this product, but the matching one I haven’t even got to yet. Yes! There’s another! Another 7 hours of labor with no result. If you’re reading this and wondering if perhaps I’m just a fool who can’t read- I assure you. Just tonight, this is the 5th piece of furniture I’m putting together. I’m an IKEA veteran. Pieces arrived with chips in them. SEVERAL pieces are missing label stickers, so you have to eyeball the instructions. And no, the labels didn’t come off in the box, I checked. The instructions for the metal drawer tracts, arguably the most important part of a DRESSER DRAWER, are not for the correct parts, so you have to guess where they’re trying to get you to go. And guess what; even if you manage to match that up perfectly, it doesn’t work, because they have designed *screws* to go *inside* the tracts. Seriously??? Was this guessed out by AI? This drawer, while lovely looking, is the worst thing I’ve ordered in the history of furniture. Because it will never look lovely in my home- it, by its very design, is absolutely unusable. I have even tried DIY changing the tracts myself, and it doesn’t matter. The very design itself isn’t conducive to use. The drawers simply do not close. After SEVEN HOURS of labor to screw all this dumb stuff together, I cannot describe the fire of ire burning in my chest. Save yourself. Do NOT buy this. Photos show the maximum that I can close it, after trying every possible re-screwing of the tracts, as well as the damage upon arrival. One of the handles has a crooked attachment that.. fits perfectly into the hole; implying a knowledge that it was made wrong, and they just wrenched it to make it fit the screw. I genuinely am at a loss for words. It’ll be a miracle if I even return it instead of rage-burning this in the woods.
