I love John Derian designs
I got the last one from the nearby store. I love John Derian’s designs, and this one is a perfect addition to my Lladro nativity. If you want to darken areas, use a small paintbrush and black paint - brush on the area(s) and wipe off right away with a cloth.

Poor quality control
The stamping is almost non-existent. The product I received is not nearly as pretty/detailed as some other reviewers photos. I assume there is a quality control issue. The words can hardly be read and the details in the birds, leaves, and ribbon are missing. I’ve added two comparison photos- top photos are the advertised product and the bottom are what I received.

A Gilded Beauty!
This is a substantial and elegant piece, especially for the price - and with options to either wall mount or use as an oversized standing piece, you've got multiple ways to display it. Other reviewers have noted that the embossing on the font is fairly soft, but it was similiar to that of the rest of the piece so it kept its overall antiqued look. This is just stunning - another win from the Derian Co!

This is wonderful. Drove quite a ways to pick it up and so happy I did. I was worried the stamping might be faint as some mentioned but it was fine. Overdid it on the John Derian this year, probably just as well a lot of it was sold out.

Room for improvement
I agree with other reviews that the stamping needs to be more defined. My biggest gripe though is the packaging. I ordered online and because the front of the box is open the most raised areas arrived scuffed. A bit pricey in my opinion for the quality of the item. I think I’m going to keep it because I enjoy the overall look, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Gorgeous piece, incredible price, buy in person!
This is a stunning piece and the price is incredible. However, I would suggest that if possible, you purchase in person because I did notice that some of them as shown on other reviews here you could barely read while others like the one I was able to snag the script is fully stamped.

Like other customers/ reviewers, the stamping of the words "Joy To The World" is so faint you can hardly make out the words. I intend to keep it up all year so maybe it's best it's not screaming "Christmas decor". I had to spend an hour traveling to get it since it was out of stock at my local store.

Classy, vintage, beauitiful!
I went back to Target to buy this gilded wall decor after buying 2 Christmas pillows, 2 squirrels and 2 artichokes.. So does this make me an official John Derian fan? I love it, and I notice review from "5hbhulamom" said she's keeping it up all year. I agree with her!! And don't we all want "Joy to the World" joy to everyone on earth all year long. Glad that John Derian picked that quote!! I don't understand why Target doesn't post my photos on this review, does it limit or select certain people? Photography is one of my skills.

Saw this online and definitely thought of anthropologie terrain….ordered it immediately and was so excited but I don’t know if it’s just the one I received or it’s actually like this but it’s so hard to see that it says joy to the world. i’m definitely going to take some kind of paint and make the words more noticeable!

I want to love this piece! In fact I haven’t returned it just yet. I like the material, size, & design. Even the price isn’t terrible. What I don’t like is the stamping of the letters… it’s like vague looking. Like the letters aren’t defined enough. I ordered mine online for pickup, so I’m not able to compare to other stock if maybe it’s just the one I got, or this is the way they are. The quality doesn’t match what is pictured on the website. I am adding a picture to compare, the top is what is shown on the site and the bottom is what I purchased. They look very different in coloring and quality.

A Stand Out Piece
Obsessed with this perfectly gilded wall decoration. The styling possibilities are endless w/ options to hang or prop up on a flat surface. Quality is def there. It’s reminiscent of decor from Anthro, but for a fraction of the price. Saw it online & “❤️” it for later. Saw it in store today & didn’t even think twice. If you’re considering this piece, get it. The reviews are not hyped up!
