Radio hard to set, wouldn't receive AM stations well even in the beginning. After a few weeks, stopped receiving any radio or weather stations at all, couldn't get it to reset. After time change, couldn't reset time. It's now in the trash!

I purchased this in March and the receiver stopped working in September. Looking at other reviews it appears this happens a lot. Too bad because when it worked I rather liked it, especially the weather feature.

You cannot turn the weather radio off on this. It has gone off several times when nobody was home and who knows how long it ran. It also woke my son up at night going off. We bought a different alarm clock for his room.

Some products are not for some people. When the instructions reminds you of a survival test, your mind clicks in and says……return.

It is a great buy like the way it works and looks.

I liked how compact it is

This was exactly what I was looking for. A big bright alarm clock with a weather radio. Everything was perfect unit a catastrophic failure of the amplifier. After about two and a half months, the unit completely stopped producing any sound. I looked inside to find some less than IPC work on the hand soldered components. Fixing that did nothing to help. Disappointing. This could have been great if it worked.

Instructions are difficult to understand. Radio and alarm are difficult to set up, too many steps. I wouldn’t but again.

Terrible reception. Every other digital FM radio I have gets perfect reception in my bedroom. This one cuts out so much that I can barely hear. Extending the antenna makes no difference. Also, each of the four buttons has a random collection of capabilities. For example, press and hold to turn the radio on and off, press to change modes. So a guest can’t turn the radio off without knowing the trick. That’s especially bad when the weather radar turns itself on to announce a passing thunderstorm a hundred miles away.

FYI this takes AA for battery backup. NOT AAA. I like the clock. Radio sounds good. Speaker is on the back. Just read the manual and settings are not that complicated. My weather Alert light is just blinky orange all the time so that's weird but I covered it up with a little piece of electrical tape. The weather alert will turn on automatically to the set weather channel if there is an emergency even when off. Also for this reason it should remained plugged in when off or it will slowly drain your battery backup. Two available alarms with snooze button. Alarm set to radio, or buzzer. Worked great for me!

The radio function (the reason I bought this alarm) stopped working after merely weeks of using it— for an alarm that cost almost $30, I shouldn’t have to troubleshoot anything for a few years. I’ve had older alarms that were more reliable. Alarms should work in a “set it and forget it” way that doesn’t require this much effort in getting them to work as advertised, after they malfunctions—alarms shouldn’t even malfunction at this price point. Also, there would be random loud weather tests every week, that I didn’t know about before my purchase. I imagine this would be a noise nuisance for others if this went off while you were out of the home. Quite frankly, I don’t have any more time or interest to invest into pressing buttons X amount of times or calling someone half a country away just to get an alarm to simply work. This alarm is not user-friendly and broke around the same time that the return window ended, so unfortunately, I’m stuck with a disappointing product that does nothing for me. Just buy a $9 alarm clock—it’ll be more reliable and easier to manage than this. Save your money.

This clock is very difficult to set time, alarms and change modes. Instructions are not clear and explanations are basically not very useful. I am not happy with this purchase.

My husband likes to sit on the porch and listen to weather reports so he knows what to expect for his work day. The sound is clear and loud. Perfect radio to do the job. Highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in Florida, and heading into hurricane season, it's nice to have a decent weather radio with battery back-up on the ready for when storms hit. We are also the lightning capital of the United States, and our storms can be impressive even without a hurricane in the forecast. The reception is really good, the display is bright, it's easy to figure out how to operate the unit, and the battery backup is absolutely necessary because you will lose power at some point and it's nice to be able to listen for news of when the storms will pass, or when the power company will be out to do repairs.

It’s so useful to have next to bed because when you get up and reach for your phone to check time, you end up losing sleep and pretty much can’t fall back asleep. The Jensen radio is nice because it’s dimmed and you just look up and see the time. Your alarm is right there next to you and don’t need to get out of bed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited about this Jensen Am/FM Weather Band Clock Radio with Weather Alert because I recently didn't receive hurricane alerts on my phone. As soon as I got this clock, I plugged it in. From the start, I realized that it was more confusing to use than the other 3 alarm clocks I have in my house. Setting the clock and alarms didn't seem intuitive and it was difficult to figure out. Once I finally figured the clock out, I searched the weather alerts. I heard old alerts about thunderstorms from earlier in the week, which I thought was weird. When I turned it back to "clock", it showed a weather alert, but I couldn't "clear" the alert. I left the clock plugged in downstairs. Fast forward to our second night with the clock...at around midnight (thankfully I were still awake), I heard a horrible siren/alarm coming from downstairs. I didn't even hear what it said, I just unplugged the clock before it woke my kids up! I searched the news, no active weather threats in our area. I'm sure there are ways to change the settings (and volume of the alarm, obviously), but I've been so annoyed with the clock that it sits on my desk unplugged. I will eventually re-read the instructions and try to get it working properly, but it's frustrating that it's not more user friendly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting a weather radio for as long as I can remember. I was so happy to get this Jensen Weather Band clock radio. It is a great item. The clock works great of course lol the light on it isn’t so bright that it keeps you awake so that good. We haven’t had any bad weather yet since I got it but I’ve been playing with it. I picks up the Surrounding counties so that’s pretty neat too.
