Darker than whats shown on website

I read reviews prior to purchasing and didn't understand the comments about the doll being dark for a Hispanic doll so I ordered anyway. Upon receipt I questioned if I received the correct doll as it was darker than the picture on website. I wanted a lighter brown baby doll as we have darker dolls and wanted to have a variety of "brown" dolls. I looked at the African American doll reviews on Amazon to find images and that doll is VERY dark compared to what's marketed as well. I'm not sure why the company markets the doll in a different shade than what it really is. However, I live the doll for my 16mo old and have already ordered the next size up for when she turns 2. I've included a photo to show shade of brown for those that may not want a darker doll. Its very well made and the perfect size for a 12mo old.

11 inch soft body baby doll

I wanted a soft baby doll that looks like a real baby for my granddaughter's 1st birthday. Nothing available in the stores was appropriate and safe for such a young child. I remembered purchasing toys for my daycare from Kaplans years ago, before I retired, and I found the perfect doll. She loves it and carries it every where. I find it interesting that when she can choose between the baby doll or her rag doll that looks like a cartoon character, she always reaches for the baby doll. I like that it is the perfect size for a young toddler and is safe for a child that still puts everything in her mouth. The price was also much better than anything the toy stores had to offer.

Child-Size Dolls
