Nice Matcha
Really nice blend at a great price point. Had good vegetal notes and no bitterness at all. Similar to the tea house blend but it has some differences in flavor and color. I think this would be a perfect choice for someone who is making primarily milk based drinks and sweetened or flavored matcha drinks. Overall since I often have my matcha with only a little milk or with water only, I prefer the tea house version. Really glad I tried this though and will use it in matcha lattes.

Probably Excellent Quality, but
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After the second day in which I enjoyed it and the subtle energy boost and clarity, using the same amount of matcha (1 tsp) on the third day, I could not get to sleep all night. I am sensitive to caffeine, I think, from similar happenings with coffee, which I had not drunk that day or only one small cup.

It gets the job done, but the flavor is kind of flat. The product picture shows the matcha as a vibrant bright green, but what I received is more of a dull gray/green. I'm not sure if it's old and oxidized, or if the leaves were just lower quality to start, but it's not what I was expecting. It's unfortunate that I bought the big jar of it.

Strong Flavor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The flavor of this particular blend is quite strong in contrast to their cafe edition with light sweetness. If you're used to the sweetened cafe blend, take some extra time to properly strain and blend this matcha powder and make sure to add a generous amount of sweetener into your matcha afterwards. This one has no sweetness at all, but I like how it maintained more of that distinct green tea flavor in comparison to the cafe blend from Jade Leaf. It's so delicious!

2nd choice as my 1st choice was out of stock
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually get the Jade leaf ceremonial tea house addition. It is the premium first harvest resulting in a more vibrant in color with a slightly cleaner taste. They were out of stock in that choice for my last monthly subscription so I tried this for a change. It was still good and fresh but I definitely prefer the flavor of the tea house addition. The cost is slightly higher for the tea house addition but I feel it is definitely worth the price. However, I still felt good with this as a 2nd choice knowing it is high quality and organic and I am still getting the benefits of my daily green tea.
