Q: I bought this as a leave-in conditioner, but just saw the instructions on the bottle, which say to first shampoo and condition your hair. Is anyone using this in lieu of traditional conditioner?

A: Nope - I've been using it as a 3rd step in my routine. I use this It's a 10 product on damp/semi-dry hair before I blow dry.
submitted byJen - 6 years agoA: It's definitely an add on to regular conditioner. I use it in the shower right after I condition I squeeze the water out of my hair and spray my very long colored hair generously. This stuff is amazing and makes my hair very soft. Even though I only get a trim on my ends once a year to even out my ends I never get split ends and my hair is incredibly soft and silky thanks to this product. Tip: the product is not a liquid, it's the consistency of a non-greasy lotion so when you are about 1/3 - 1/2 of the way through the bottle the pump stops working due to the thick "liquid". Just add water to fill it up and shake well. Still works the same and you get more for your money. I highly recommend this product!!!

Q: Does this have enough heat protection for blow drying and curling or straightning? If so does it protect up to 450 degrees? Is this more of a conditioner? should a seperate heat protector be used along with this product for heat styling?

It's more than just a leave-in conditioner, it's a nourishing treatment can be used alone or as a restorative styling product. It's formulated to repair damaged hair, add shine and promote silkiness, detangle, control frizz, protect color, prevent split ends and breakage, enhance body, and even works as a thermal protector. Apply product to wet hair before blow drying or styling, or use on dry hair instead of styling cream for smooth, controlled hair. It also smells so good.

I have thick long hair. I use It’s A 10 before drying my hair and using a ceramic flat iron. This product leaves my hair silkier than it would without it. Smells great. The product is of a thick consistency, and I’ve found that the sprayer is ineffective. I unscrew the bottle top and pour about a quarter-size dollop into my hand to distribute in my hair. I’ve even added water into the bottle when it is near empty, and notice no difference. It is expensive, so adding water helps stretch the use!

This is genuinely the worst leave-in ever. I have finer, frizzy, wavy hair and every time I use this and then style my hair feels like straw. It also leaves so much residue (even after 1-2 sprays in my hair for a section) that I have to go and brush it out because I don’t want to wash my hair again. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but this product is a colossal disappointment, especially for how expensive it is.

Best Detangler
This is the absolute best detangler and conditioner I've ever used! It works amazing on knotty hair. I especially like to use after a pool or beach day when my hair just don't brush without it. The only downside is the ingredients are not clean. Unfortunately, there are some chemicals that I personally don't want to use on my hair often. So I compromise and only use it on vacation, after the pool/beach/etc.

Too expensive
I’ve purchased this 2 times. I do think it helps my split ends and overall I can tell a positive change in my hair health. However, I do feel the formula is too thick. As the bottle gets 1/3 empty I have a difficult time spraying/misting this product on my hair. I’ve started to put water in the bottle and noticed the same positive results while also having a product that last 3 times as long. I think the price is WAY too high. Just the 2 oz cost $13. 2oz does not last very long if you use this product on a regular basis (2-3 weeks).
