Furthermore, the post-capitalist potential of the Islamic economy will be discussed from the history and dynamism of the practice of Islamic finance.

About the Author

Shinsuke Nagaoka, Ph.D., is Professor of Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies at Kyoto University, Japan. He studies the post-capitalist potential of the modern Islamic economy through research on Islamic finance and Islamic social welfare institutions (waqf and zakat).
