About the Author
Shinsuke Nagaoka, Ph.D., is Professor of Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies at Kyoto University, Japan. He studies the post-capitalist potential of the modern Islamic economy through research on Islamic finance and Islamic social welfare institutions (waqf and zakat).
